I want to copy a DVD but theres usually a copy right protecting it. And someone from Best Buy told me that you can take it off some how so that you can copy it. I was wondering if anyone knows how to do that if so can you tell me please because i would like to know before I buy a DVD burner.

There's a free program out there that works for most dvd's. I say most because copy protection keeps getting more and more advanced. You can get it at the following link (it's called Dvd Shrink):

DVD Shrink will take off the copy protection, free program, leaving it copied to your HD. Then use something like Roxio Disc Copier to copy it to new DVD. After testing out the new copy to make sure it works ok, then del it from your HD. :)
Any disk copying program will work, so use what you are familar with,
