I have acne-prone skin. I live in a cold place and when I visit humid places, I stop breaking out. I think it's because my face is more hydrated there. But, whenever I put lotion on my face, I break out and my face gets shiny. So, I'd like to know what kind of lotion you put on your face. Thanks!

Hi! Nivea Visage Young "Control It" Moisturiser is really good cause it absorbs quickly and doesn't make you look shiny. I use this cream and I have sensitive skin but it works well on me. It's not expensive either, so that's good too. :)

I have the exact same problem, it seems to happen more frequently when I use products that have a lot of Vitamin E oil in them (it is listed as Tocopheral Acetate on the ingredient list). I'm currently using Lancome High Resolution because it has very little Vit E but if you are looking for something a bit less expensive I'd recommend the honey line for sensitive skin from L'Occitane and if they have a store nearby they will usually give you a sample to try first. They use all natural ingredients and are very high quality. Products like Olay and Nutragena work great for people who already have good skin but they contain petroleum products which I never put on my face or body.

Good luck!

Youpi, for body lotion I have to say, what has labored for me well is Vaseline Intensive. It leaves my epidermis chiefly on my elbows, feet, and fingers very delicate. For the face i take advantage of Cura Serum by means of Isabella Pelle. It can be a particularly targeted facial lotion with the perfect awareness of the nice moisturizer recognized so far; hyaluronic acid. Hope this helps.

if your face gets shiny you need to use a lotion for oily skin so that it wont get shiny also oil of olay is a lotion more for older people with dry skin so you might want to stay away from that one... this also has alot to do with the type of product you use to wash your face... you should try useing exfoliants!!! st ives has very good prodocts to wash the face and body !! as for a face loction M.A.C. products has a great lotion for oily skin !!

You might want to try Olay Complete Daily Moisturizer for Oily/Combination Skin and they also have a formula for sensitive skin. Olay makes some excellent products.

I use Aloe Vera Gel, like from Walgreen's, and I use eye cream, so my skin is not too dry. The aloe vera gel is more of a light hydrator and skin protectant. As for acne prone skin, I have stopped eating cheese, ice cream, and beef. It has improved my condition greatly.

I use St Ives Collagen and Elastin mixed with Aloe Vera gel in the Winter, and in the Summer just plain Aloe Vera gel (I'll mix in a little St Ives if my skin feels dry). I'm also acne prone, and neither of them make me break out.

It also helps acne if you use a gentle cleanser (try Purpose Gentle Cleanser, sold at drugstores, or Clear Skin Regimen cleanser, sold at acnesupplies.com), and a 2.5% benzoyl peroxide gel (try Neutrogena on-the-spot, sold at drugstores, or Clear Skin Regimen gel, also found at acnesupplies.com).

I don't have the problem that you have, but I use Olay Complete all day moisturizer with SPF 15 (you should always have SPF in your facial moisturizer) and I love it - I have the kind for normal skin but they also make the same thing for oily skin.

Nuetrogena Sensitive skin oil free I love it:) I have been using it for 2 years and it doesn't over moisturize or clog pores . just a pea size on your finger take a different finger and dab it on all parts of your face rub in a tadah!

Purpose by Johnson & Johnson. I use the kind that has SPF 30 and reduces redness. The Purpose cleanser is great too!
