If your children are sick you should at least call the doctor and see if they reccommend bringing your child in. If your child is not too sick, the doctor's office can at least give you some recommendations on what to do to alieviate whatever your child's symptoms may be. Children also must go to the doctors for check-ups, this is required in many schools for children to have shots and physicals and all that good stuff before going to school

If you are serious in asking this question then I hope that you do not have any children. If you do I feel certain that you will have a close relationship with Child Protective Services.
Mothers do not take their children to the doctor because they WANT to. It is a necessary part of being an effective, efficient mother. As the other mother said, they need their baby shots to protect them from dangerous diseases and they need to go when they are sick so that they can get better.
If you do not understand these things then you have no business being a parent.

Um...dumb question....I take my kids to the doctor to prevent illness with vaccinations and to make them better when they do get sick!
