What if it said "In Allah We Trust" Or "In Buddha"? Would you be alright with that?

Because people have shallow understandings. It doesn't say which god people trust in. As far as I know only people opposed to the Judeo-Christian God are opposed to this being printed on our currency. There is no endorsement of a specific God or religion and therefore there is no violation of the separation of church and state.
Read the Constittion for yourselves, before using this in any banter.

Mostly because they are ignorant. Here is my belief..... If you want to be an American, then "In God We Trust" is your motto. Take it or move somewhere else. We were founded on it, we believe it and we should live it. There was a survey done last year and 86% of all people agreed to leave it on the money, and to keep it in the courts and at our capitol. So around 14% don't agree. It is sad that 14% can ruin something we were founded on. Maybe we should crate them up and ship them to an island where they can start their own society with "In Stupid and Ignornat We Trust"

It's a Christian concept made manifest on the national currency which is produced by the federal government. Why isn't it In Allah We Trust? Why should the currency have any religious references anyway?

As far as I can tell, it's the people who don't want to accept the idea of the one true Christian God that our forefathers and the American patriots who founded this country believed in. He's the same one that a lot of other Americans today believe in but those who don't believe in God are the ones objecting.

There is no place for religious references on the currency of the US. Ever read the Constitution?
How about we print dollars with in Allah we trust? Just an expression after all....

because they trust in an entity like a government that would choose to get that currency back anyway possible, instead of a trusting, loving God.

Shame. Intelligent people don't want their government to be a laughing stock among more enlightened governments. Did you know that in Europe, instead of the respect we got in past years, we are being ridiculed for our backward superstitious beliefs.
