I'll be checking out that thing about gallbladders!
Anyway, if you are considering a raw diet, check out the calorie reduction society. One of their founders realized that very low caloric intake actually reduced oxidation on a cellular level thus significantly increasing life span and decreasing cancer. Because you are running at a low metabolism, you will remain chilly.
My personal greatest con: I'm a glutton and a sloth; I wouldn't want a longer life if I never got to eat anything that I like again.

Any diet that restricts your intake to the necessary vitamins and minerals and good fats is a fad diet and fad diets just don't work. Try eating below 1450 calories a day and eating every 3 hours. To further explain, your body goes into its starvation mode every 3 hours which eats away at your lean muscle mass which is what your body uses to burn calories when you are sitting still and doing nothing at all. You will safely lose 2lbs a week and keep it off.

Personally, I think these diets are masochistic! And, I don't think the cow or whatever, is going to care that a person drinks its milk and by-products thereof, such as cheese. If a person is being vegan to be "healthy" with the excuse that he or she doesn't want to eat all those "terrible" things we feed animals, then, I'm sorry, they've gone a little wacky. I think they call this "paranoid." It can't be because of harming animals because it doesn't. And I don't understand why people want to live to be 142 anyway! So, what's up with it? Vegetarianism is juuuuuusssst fine. At least that's reasonable, but human beings were made, by god or nature, whichever you believe in, to be omnivores. If it were up to me to kill the animals, I would be a vegetarian, but..................let's just be kind to animals whenever possible otherwise.

Well any person can look at any animal and check the teeth. The teeth will tell you what sort of food they are created to eat. As a person you and I have both kinds of teeth for meat eating and veggies. I understand that meat is not needed at every meal. Small portions of meat is better than large. I think the size of your hand is a right amount of meat for servings. That is what my dietitian told me. If you have health issues you should consult your doctor.

Those diets are such BS.
Vegetables are just as good for you cooked as they are raw, it just depends on how you prepare them.
Also, if you have any degree of gallbladder issues, a raw diet will rip a hole in your side.
