Every star you see in the sky has one if not many planets orbiting it.
Now, our galaxy alone has billions of stars. And we are just one of many other galaxies.
I'm just curious to why they think our solar system is the only one which exists.....

How aware are you that when you look up at the stars at night, you are looking at someone else's sun?
And vice versa, someone or something is somewhere looking up and seeing our 'sun"/star in the sky.

Frankly: you are wrong, these are indeed my own thoughts.
And you are wrong, you all are, about every single star you see in the sky has planets, 1 or a dozen if not more orbiting it.
That's the way the natural universe is set up.
Please look into a field called astronomy, it is enlightening.
you may even learn something.

...by the way astronomers have actually proven it.
You will see a pull on the star depending on how big the planet is.
Some stars have one huge planet orbiting it which pulls the star so far back and forth that it just sways constantly.

I firmly believe that science and religion can go hand in hand. Of course Christians acknowledge that the sun is a star, and that there are billions of stars in the solar system. But who says that astronomy does not have a place in religious belief? There are few scientific theories that don't tie in with Christianity. I believe that all the amazing scientific discoveries have been there all along, and were created by God. It's just taken man a long, long time to find them. The main area where Christianity and science clash is in the theory of evolution. Man attempts to explain that which he doesn't understand; hence the theory of evolution. I maintain that if we descended from apes, how come there are still apes? We have evolved physically and intellectually, not from primates, which are still animals, but created in God's image and no one will ever deter me from that belief. But that's really the main area where science and religion differ. As for the stars in the firmament -- that's a science known as astronomy -- but it was also created by the Creator.

certain. As of nineteen October 2009, 403 exoplanets are listed contained in the Extrasolar Planets Encyclopaedia. maximum widely used exoplanets orbit stars type of reminiscent of our own solar. Many extra are continuously being chanced on. Dr. Alan Boss of the Carnegie corporation of technology estimates there will be a “hundred billion” terrestrial planets in our Milky way Galaxy on my own. One particular gadget, the fifty 5 Cancri photo voltaic gadget, contains 5 shown planets, more advantageous than the different extrasolar movie star gadget, and would contain extra.

Where & when did you take that pole from Christians ???? How many Christians did you question about this ?
Thats just the most nieve thing I have ever heard ! Not to mention how shallow you make yourself sound....Just how many Christians did you get your information from ????
This is just so nieve to think all Christians
think like that !
As a matter of fact most Christians know quite well that there are other gallaxies out there, They are very well informed about the creation around them and the others beyond our sight.
Who told you that nonsence ? You need to get yourself educated before you get on here throwing garbage about "all" Christians thinking this crap !

Church people are humans and they want the universe to be human, and so they worship a human God, and it is convenient not to think about all the other systems in the universe.
Church people recognize there are other systems and other galaxies, but they prefer to focus just on this earth; and the assumption is that God rules the entire universe even though the earth in comparison is infinitesimal.

So you've learned something, and assume that all christians were as ignorant as you were and didn't know of these quite obvious facts! Believe it or not, all of us christians aren't braindead, we took beginning science in school too. So basically, just because you were in ignorance on this issue, don't for a minute assume that others are. How arrogant to assume its only christians who are so stupid, its pretty clear from your question that you amazed by this knowledge and its all new to you. And you're calling us stupid!

Jesus said that the stars will fall from heaven. As long as you're talking about stars, can I ask a question? As he said that the stars will fall from heaven when he returns with angels blowing trumpets, did he mean all the stars will fall or just some of them?

Yes, I know what are stars, that our sun is a star, etc. No, I do not think our solar system is the only one which exists.

Why do you think we are so ignorant? We know that stars are other suns. Anyone who has gone past fifth grade knows this. Even kids in private Christian schools are taught this.
No Christian I have ever met has said that there are no other solar systems.
Wherever you got your data was either incredibly biased against Christians, or incredibly ignorant of what we believe.

Just because there are other solar systems and other planets does NOT mean that GOD created other PEOPLE! But if HE did... You do not need to woory about ever meeting them. We rae definitely too far to ever be able to travel there in our lifetime unless GOD gives us the ability to do so. Have a great Lord's Day.
