He is using and abusing us for his personal gain. His poor leadership and refusal to take advise from others is what has caused the insurgency to take such a stronghold. For years Bush and Rumsfeld insisted that additional troops were not needed in Iraq, now out of the blue he all of a sudden agrees that yeah, we need more people. Yet only 20,000 more? Thats a drop in the bucket as to what it will take to gain control of Iraq.

Well he was telling half the truth. Bush spends more on Defense (15% of the total US Govt budget) than almost any President in post WW2. Our entire nuclear missile force was modernized. The rest of what he said was obviously total BS.
