Seems like my left patellar tendon (Tendon below the knee cap) is smaller or shorter than my right one.

I doubt anything on our bodies is identical to the opposite.

Here's a fun experiment. Take a picture of your face straight on with absolutely no expression - everything relaxed. Take a piece of tracing paper and trace the image as accurately as you can. Then take the tracing paper and fold it down the middle - top to bottom. Do the sides match? are your eyes the same size? is your mouth even? your nose?

also look at your hands side by side closely - they don't match - and it's highly likely that one of your feet is slightly bigger than the other.

The tendons in your body are hidden, and what I've described is not of course, but it stands to reason that that which is hidden will follow in structure as that which is visible.

Almost everyone has one side different than the other. It's sometimes more noticeable in some and some parts than on others but it is so. We aren't absolutly alike, it just seems that way. I wouldn't worry unless the one knee is causing you problems like pain or you notice a karked difference over a short amount of time. If that happened you might see the Dr. about it.

Our body isn't always symmetrical on both sides, so yes, it's possible your left tendon is shorter than your right one. Just look at all the people with one leg shorter than the other.

Our one side is the mirror image of the other side. If the sides were idenitical, we would have two left sides or two right sides. Perhaps the one tendon appears shorter is that it is not your dominant leg.

i would think so, but then again some other parts of our body are not symetrical. if your knees are different sizes that may be a bad thing because it could effect the way you walk and your back so u might want to get it checked out.
