It means getting to share my life with my best friend in the world. My wife and I have been married for ten years. I worship the water she walks on. There is nothing I wouldn't do for her. We are driving ten and twenty year old cars so we can invest our money and retire early (so we never have to be apart again). This is what love is, when it's real. It is the total reciprocated commitment to someone that you can't imagine life without. It fills the holes and smooths away the rough edges. It makes one complete.

Love is:

Wanting to share your days experiences
Knowing your best friend will listen to you and share
Keeping your secrets
Giving you a hug when you don't really need it
Taking you to your dreams with imagination
Smiling at the first sight of you after a long day
Holding and squeezing your hand just to say I Love you
Waking in the morning thinking of them and they of you
Knowing each others thoughts
Knowing they have Independence and you too

When they bring you Flowers

Love is forgiveness, forgetfulness, ignorance, blindness and pure bliss. When you love someone, really love someone, then can do the most devastating thing and you can still see the good within them. Love takes patience and understanding. To truly love someone you do need to love yourself first.

Technically, love is a mixture of higher levels of seratonin, dopamine, and norepinephrine in the brain. It initially gives the person who is newly in love a euphoric high. Later it settles down to pre-infatuation levels, but the loved one still triggers some dopamine when they provide stimuli.

I really don't know what I'm talking about...I've been there before and I still don't understand love. Good Luck!

to me love means sacrificing to others, giving them what they need not what they deserve. making your problem my problem. giving them everything you have and expect nothing back in return. love isnt a feeling even though it may bring some intense feelings along, it is a choice, an action, a way of being, a lifestyle

Sometimes people confuse love with
selfishness.
I believe that real love is putting the
needs of the other person first.

love to me is everytime I see that person my heart skips a beat and no matter how she looks no make-up, bad breath, dressed up, dressed down. whenever I see her I feel just like I did the first time I asked her out.

What does love have to do with it? What's love but a second hand emotion? What does love have to do with it? Who needs a heart, when a heart can be broken?

Besides Dick Cheney, of course.
