I can't answer that because I didn't have a mother or father to love. But what is so strange that a child would ask a question like that because I don't think parents even measure there love for there children.

I have always loved my mother more, Sometimes, no most of the time my dad wasn't interested in having a family. Oh he was there most of the time usually drunk or hung over. He quit drinking when I reached adult hood, but I never forgot who was there when we were sick or just needed a friend. And who took alot of licks from him to keep him off of my brothers and sisters.
Even now that mom has passed away he still finds little ways to irritate us with snide remarks about his 40 years of hell with her. But I promised her that we would look after him for her, so we do not disrespect or ignore him, but still those feelings are just not there.

Like everything else, I can't choose between my mother or my father. That's like asking what came first, the chicken or the egg. I'll have to say, equally. Simply because it has it's pros and cons. And even if it is same sex parents my answer would still be equal.

i think its more of how deep the connection is with each parent. i love them both deeply(mom died 12 yrs ago)but i had a stronger connection with my mom. dad was the boss, the disciplinarian. my mom was the one i could talk to about most things. a typical family for the times(60's-70's)but since my mom died, and we have gotten older, i have gotten closer to my dad.

Definitely my mom more than my dad. She was the one who worked her behind off to raise me, while my dad was roaming the earth trying to figure himself out. Now that she has passed away, I miss her every second of every day, and love her even more for all of her sacrifices.

I love them both equally, but in different ways and for different reasons. They are each unique individuals. The kind of love we have, each time we have it, is different every time.
