Like, they dont like "closed minded people" or so they say. But anyone who doesnt share their views is a brainwashed moron.

Plus, they claim to dislike being told what to do (like believe or go to hell) but somehow its ok for them to tell everyone not to believe and give up their faith.

Why are they such great people that they are above their own rules, and smarter than everyone else?

Doesnt it sound like a great club? Can I join??

Yeah, many I've seen are like that.

This is a straw man argument. None of what you say is true. There is no monolithic group of atheists who share a majority or all values and characteristics. The only thing the entire population of self-avowed atheists agree on is that there is no God. And further, many neocon Christians tend to view anyone who disagrees with them as an atheist, even if they are not.

To answer your last question, I won't join their club. The way of a transgressor is hard and the retirement is horrific beyond description.
I despise the use of cursing as part of the promotion on that page link. NOT CHRIST-LIKE CONVERSATION! I can agree with parts of the message but truly insulting their intelligence while defending our own, well, let the Bible speak for itself their while defending the faith. A lack of understanding is what the Bible calls a fool but I hardly go around calling folks fools if I can avoid it. If the shoe fits them denying God, they they can wear it until they get the intelligence to accept God. Now, if they hear the gospel message and the truth about the validity of God's Word and still deny Him all the way to their graves, God still takes no pleasure in the death of the wicked or of fools. Even David said of his son Abner, his enemy, "... Died Abner as a fool dieth?" (II Samuel 3:33)
Therefore, I do not rejoice in their down fall but I won't be voting them into any political office either.

I'm religious, and I know a lot of atheists. Not a single one of them seem to particularly care about people who are religious, they just don't agree with them. They couldn't be bothered with telling people not to believe. Of course there are some atheists, and some religious people, who feel compelled to try to force their views on others. But the same can be said of any issue about which people have very strong opinions. If you're religious, stick with it and don't worry about atheists. And if you're an atheist, who is anyone to try to force their religion on you? We all have a hard enough time living life without worrying about what other people choose to believe, or not believe.

I don't think all religious people are brainwashed morons. Some are. I never tell anyone else what to believe. I live by my own rules, I don't try to impose them on everyone else. I'm not smarter than everyone else, just the people I'm smarter than. Join the club if you like, no one is twisting your arm.

I've never held that everyone should give up his/her faith. If your religion gives you hope and comfort and a moral compass, it sounds like something that you should keep. I just want to live the life that's right for me.

Do you not understand the difference between someone believing differently from us...and someone insisting that we are all horrible people who deserve to be punished for eternity if we don't agree with your warped version of "truth"?

Believe whatever delusion you want.

Stop trying to force your swill on us.

When you do try, and you seem to do so frequently, you fall into the brainwashed moron category.

That being the case: No, you can't join.

That would be a knuckle-head, not an atheist. Should I assume all Christians expect me to go to hell because a few say it?

Hypocrisy is the essence of snobbery, but all snobbery is about the problem of belonging.
