I have an amazing girlfriend, whom i have been seeing for 8 months, which is the longest relationship i have ever experienced. Yet recently, i have had feelings for someone else, and things have been getting worse between myself and my girlfriend. I am so uncertain about what will happen. I don't know whether to leave her and start afresh or to try and patch things up?!

Don't drag her along. Tell her how you feel. She is definitely not the one or you wouldn't be having feelings for someone else. End it now keeping your own self esteem and not being cruel to her. Believe me, you won't regret it. You can't love two people at once and it isn't fair to try.
Sounds like you're too young to be committing to any one person anyway. Be kind and walk away and wait for the "right one" to come along.

Okay...complicated situation. If you really love her, like you say... you need to talk to her about the problems that you have been having! Honesty is always best, chances are that you are getting nervous from being so close and that is why you are looking towards someone else.

If you don't love her, you need to end it! If you are having serious feelings for somebody else. Be honest, but gentle! And definitly do not pursue anything with the other girl before things are clean with your current... because neither relationship would work out and the other girl doesn't want to feel like a rebound!

You should see someone how help you determine what you want. It is possible that because you are now in the longest relationship you have ever been in, you are scared and are looking for an excuse to get out, because relationships can be scary at first. Speaking to someone can help you figure out if that is the case. Good Luck!

If u r both going through a bad patch then its only natural for u to have feelings for someone else....concentrate on your current relationship just now and if it doesnt work out then split up and start having fun with the other girl or someone else.....try and forget about her just now and dont see her..think of ur girlriend....good luck.

Yeah.. this doesn't sound like love. Love isn't looking elsewhere for "like."

Since it sounds like you've made up your mind, talk to her and be polite and kind and end the relationship. You cannot be certain of what will happen, but do know that she will be hurt.

It wouldn't be right for you to stay in a relationship that isn't loving to her. I wouldn't try to patch things up, because you're not acting in the right on this one.

I am going to try to not be insensitive here, but honestly if you love someone you would not have that sort of feelings for anyone that would make you question your relationship with your girl. love isnt just something you can put on hold. its not something that you are supposed to be able to have that sort of non commitment. think about this. how would you feel if she had feelings for someone else and was second guessing herself in the same way. would you be hurt. you need to make up your mind before you or someone else gets hurt, or even worse you lose this girl that you claim to "LOVE"

don't lie to yourself-
you cant have an honest relationship if you like another girl.
If your relationship is rocky becuase of your feelings for another, you should take a break and see what happens. If you really love your gf, you will try to patch things up. The decision is totally yours.
GL!

Don't take this personal but if you REALLY loved your girlfriend you wouldn't even think about dumping her for another girl. Try to work things out but if things just keep getting worse, maybe it would be time to let her go. Just one more thing. dont cheat. :)

You don't have strong feelings for BOTH. Listen to your Heart and it will tell you which way to go. Don't hurt everyone. `Cause that's what you're doing, now. Trim this all down to the lowest possible denomination. Meaning just TWO!

Talk to her. Think it over very carefully, make sure the feelings you have for the other person aren't feelings of lust. Then make your decision.
