It depends if they are boy or a girl. But for a girl from the age of 4-6, i would have to say barbies. Those are always alot of fun. If you dont have any, they might. Also, go to the dollar store, and buy a bunch of coloring books, crayons, stickers and toys. It shouldnt cost that much. You can alos bring movies, and you can watch tv. Ask them what they would like to watch. You can also bake with them. Something simple like cookies. Ask them if they like to play outside. Play soccer, tag, bycicle or play in the snow.(Depends wat season).
For boys you can bring dinosaurs, hotwheels, races with trucks/cars, and reading. Go to the dollar store and buy toys, coloring books, crayons ect.. You can watch tv, and movies. For most boys they would like: superman, spiderman(superheros). Stuff like that. Ask them what they like to wathc. Play outside with them.
Make sure that you play with them too, i mean like play the activites with them. ***Thats what makes you a better babysitter. And the parent should ask you more.
Have fun Babysitting!!

Now I am not sure how old the children are but how about something like a treasure hunt, or a craft project. Valentines day is comming up so why not try making v-day cards with the kids for their parents, or maybe a special someone they go to school with. Hid and seek was always fun when I was a kid. I also loved to bake. I think it would be nice to do something that they can show their parents. It will make them feel really good about themselves to see that they actually were able to make something they could actually look at after it was all done. It would also make them feel special to give it to their parents and see the smile on their face when they see how hard they worked on it. There are tons of things to do though. If they are older try origami or model cars (of course ask for parents permission first) or how about building a fort in their rooms, I did that when I babysat and the kids loved it!!!!

Hmmm, well, that's easy. You don't really NEED "amazing" babysitting ideas. Just play what they want to play, or watch movies with them... take them seriously on what they want to do, but have fun doing. If your not having fun playing with them, than chances are they aren't having fun either. Relax and have fun, and let things run the way they should. They wont have fun with you if your not relaxed around them, and trying to impress them is not relaxed. Sorry if that didn't help, but it's how I work, and I'm really close to all the kids I've babysat. I don't babysit anymore, but I used to play, I don't know, barbies or something, and I'd just be silly, and I'd get them laughing so hard they had to go to the bathroom. Just be silly. Well, have an awesome day :)
Or movies, finger paints, drawing, puzzels... it depends on the childs personality, and what kind of things they like to do. Just let them decide what they want to play, and play it with them!

Yeah. Act like a fool.
No, really. When I baby-sat as a teen-ager, I was enormously popular whenever I was just plain silly with the kids.
It was a bit awkward handling "My kids really liked you, but they didn't say why..." afterwards, but. Really -- don't be uptight, don't be just another adult. Be a clown. You can still be responsible while being playful.
And -- sometimes it'll frustrate a child who's misbehaving a bit out of crankiness into behaving well. You can make deals -- you stop being a bozo if the kid goes to bed on time, say.
Normal stuff? Arts and crafts. Or whatever you enjoyed at the kids' ages.

I'm a preschool/ pre-kindergarten teacher, so I work with kids ages 3-5. They love to draw and color and make art projects. Ummm, they all like to sit and listen to stories. We play all kinds of games like duck, duck, goose, red rover, parachute games, matching/memory, musical chairs, hide and seek, tag, just stuff like that. Doing puzzles with kids is always a good activity too. You just have to make sure it's things that will keep the children entertained. Something that they really enjoy doing. If you do things that the kids like to do and are interested in, you'll have fun, and so will they. I hope that helps some what. Have a great day!

we always make playdough and play with it..
2 cups flour
4 teaspoons cream of tartar
1 cup salt
1 1/2 - 2 cups boiling water
3 - 4 Tablespoons vegetable oil
Food coloring
Add oil and food coloring to boiling water. Combine remaining ingredients, and mix well. As you knead it, the dough will get smoother. Store in airtight container. Very pliable and easy to roll or sculpt.

kids (depends on age) seem to like games, there's art projects they might get into like foam magnets for the fridge or something, maybe paint flower pots, or make up a new game or dance (the kids), stuff like that might keep them busy for at least 1/2 an hour to an hour.

My kids love to build tents in the house and play camping and take a big box and cut window and doors for forts they can get in to.
