u should take a trip to someplace like the philippines where the common people are very poor moneywise ... but they are very gracious,clean, and family oriented, and they share everything in their family ... its a better way to live imo than having a hummer and a 500000 house and a bad attitude .

People who take vows of poverty are members of Christian religious orders. They live better than most poor people, because they have insurance. The order takes care of them. They do not own anything personally except maybe a few things given them by relatives, like pictures, etc. There are always rich benefactors who support the community or the community engages in some work such as teaching, farming, etc. I knew a Franciscan once who was not allowed to carry money. He had a credit card when he traveled instead.
I think the real poor ones are the Buddhist monks who have a begging bowl and go door to door. But that doesn't happen in the U.S. that I know of.

I personally have not but I have several close friends and 1 relative who has. They all live very contented lives at the world headquarters of Jehovah's Witnesses in Brooklyn. They volunteer full time in publishing Bibles and Bible literature and support services. They have all that they need and are very happy.

I haven't but my aunt has. She lives comfortably. Some poverty is more severe than others.

yeah
for me its like this
if you are even slightly responsible, even banks will give you money, even money for beer
its just a matter of, what could I buy that would actually make me happy and healthy
massages (since I'm not buyin sex for awhile anyway) then its like would the job cause more stress than the massage would relieve
