Who even knows. I do know there is lots of caffiene in coffee and people use to eat the coffee bean. Check out this article about it.

In a crystalline form, caffeine has a slightly metallic taste. In a powdered or rendered down form, the taste is barely noticable. Easily masked by flavors on top of it.

A lot of people say that it doesn't, but I bought caffeine free Diet Pepsi and I noticed the taste was different so I think that caffeine does have a taste.

I'm not sure stastically, but I do know that decaf coffee and decaf sodas, just don't taste the same to me. They lack something...

i dont thank so
i cant tell da difference when im drinkin soda wit or witout it
but soda is healthier witout it
