If you oppose gay marriage,

would you oppose a gay man giving you CPR?

or performing life saving surgery on you in the operating room of an ER?

or bringing you food at a restaurant?

or picking your answer best answer on Yahoo Answers?

Or teaching your child in school?

Or being your boss? or your subordinate?

What if a gay man made your car?

What if the quarterback of your favorite NFL team is gay?

----

I'm a heterosexual agnostic/atheist, so hopefully the answers to these questions won't be people saying that I'm trying to make this about me or anything.

Just asking what I think is a good group of questions.

I am not at all opposed to gay marriage.

The only people opposed to gay marriage are the ones who sit there every Sunday and listen to a pedophile preach about the bible and "god" and being a good christian.

What's GAY is people who say they don't "personally" have anything against homosexuals....but.....oh yeah....I don't think they should get married because some old story book can be interpreted as saying they shouldn't. A fictitious entity living high above the sky made man and woman to be married.

I believe that marriage is between a man and a woman period. However, I will not be offended to give CPR to a gay person or receive CPR from one. I love them and have many as friends. I had a gay Dr. for many years.

I would not be opposed to any of those situations you listed. Just because someone is gay it doesn't mean that they want to put it in your bum or your child's bum. Being gay doesn't make them horndogs or perverts. Although some are, there are proportionally just as many heterosexual perverts out there.

PS- Sawyer, a few answers below.... Is CONFUSED.

Why would them being married or not change whether or not they are kissing in public? If a couple is going to kiss in public being married won't change that, well in most cases it might reduce the amount of kissing in public. Both of my daughters have a good understanding that some people are attracted to the same sex. We explained it to them honestly when they were much younger and they simply accepted it.

Yes I am very much opposed to gay marriage. However I would not be opposed to a gay man doing any of those other things. I am ok with gay people but they should not be able to get married.
God made man and woman to be together. Not man with man or woman with woman. It's against the Bible.
Personally, I just can't see how anyone could be attracted to someone of the same gender as them.

True story: My mom flew from Wyoming to Virginia to see me a few years ago. She got into my apartment and I said "HI mom!" She responded with "WATER!" Which was unusual! Puzzled, I got her a glass of water. She gulped that sucker down and asked for more! Stranger and stranger.

She then sat down and I said "Err, mom? What's with the water?" She said "Oh! I had a male "stewardess" on the plane!" Hmm. I didn't get it. "Mom? He wouldn't give you water?" She looked at me like I was thick., "Nooo, he was a MALE STEWARDESS. Probably a homosexual! I can't be too careful with Aids."

:( I don't remember what I said after that. I think it involved taking a walk and taking shots of tequilla.

Do you realize that homosexuality is a wound in a person where they didn't bond to the parent of the same sex & their gender is now confused?
Why would I punish someone for a wound?
Then again, why would I legalize a wound & suddenly claim it's a new way of life?
And, FYI...my boss is a lesbian. A co-worker is both gay AND an EMT. He jokes about giving me mouth-to-mouth since his ambulance covers my town. I have several gay friends. I don't care. they are humans & I love them. And they love me.
