Everything we need is in the Bible. Why can't you believe in Chrisitianity? You've closed you're mind off to there being a God.
If you don't correct yourself, you might end up in hell forever.

The only question stated was "why can't you believe in Christianity?" so that is what I will address.
If you really want to know why other people do not share your belief , you will stop and ask yourself , Why do I believe in christianity and why do other people believe in there religions all over the world.
People like to know things. They want to know things. 2000 years ago much more of the world was a mystery. the world ran a muck with mythology , superstition , and there where even more religions. These Ideas about the natural world are.... natural.
As certain religious groups gained popularity and power through trial and error , a religious formula is adapted and still used today in churches and there like around the globe.
The formula is long in its evolution and power full. You believe in christianity because of this formula , and other believe other religions likewise.
Atheists believe what they believe ( or do not believe ) because they base there knowledge on the observable world and want to feel they have an answer.
That being said , I am Agnostic.

Many people become atheists because of the Bible. I was a Christian who believed the doctrines and dogmas of the Church. Then I decided to find out what the Bible said for myself. The Old Testament alone gave me a hard push on the road towards atheism.
So, I turned to Christian Gnosticism. Much better than Christianity, but still rather weird.
Then I discovered Deism. Finding God in his creation. How wonderful!
Then I discovered Christian Deism. Perfect! A natural religion with all of the wonderful wisdom of Christ, without the garbage of the OT or the superstition and weirdness of self proclaimed apostle Paul!

Why has every second question in this section to do with why atheists don't believe in God and how can believers believe there is A Higher Being in the universe? Is this all you care about? To humiliate each other or prove that you hold the truth?
Dear Chris, your faith about the Bible and God is yours only. It's your personal spiritual experience. Being judgmental and spreading the fear of ending up in hell if you don't believe in Christianity doesn't sound so right to me...

Why are you christian and how do you know that everything you need to know is in an ancient outdated book?
There is such a thing as freedom of choice. If you want people to respect yours then you need to respect theirs. Respect is always a two way street.
You've closed your mind to the fact that perhaps there may not be deities or there may be other ones that you do not worship. That makes you just as narrow as those you accuse.
As for hell, the only one that exists is the psychological cage we make for ourselves.

Have you ever actually READ the Bible? It is so full of death and hate I really can't believe anyone actually uses it as a moral code. Plus, how can you believe that something compiled by dozens if not hundreds of people many years apart actually has any truth to it? People are starting to open their eyes, and hopefully in a few generations religion will start to be seen as the monstrosity it is. I highly recommend reading Richard Dawkins' 'The God Delusion'.

First of all, Why do you believe in a BOOK, that was rewritten by hundreds of people for their own convenience. If you don't see that you are the one that is closed minded. You are closed up in idea that has no concept of reality. All of the things that ur religion is based on are things that ARE NOT REAL....

Everything in the bible? Really? Are the instructions for the computer you're using in the bible? If not, how did you EVER figure it out, since everything you need to know is in there?
Why don't you believe in Zeus? Allah? Odin? If they were the real gods after all, they'll send YOU to hell. Aren't you scared of that? No? Maybe for the same reason I'm not scared of your god.

The day God shows himself to me, then I will be a believer. Until then, I will doubt. Albert Einstein said it best:
"I do not believe in the immortality of the individual, and I consider ethics to be an exclusively human concern with no superhuman authority behind it."

I WAS a xian for over 40 years. I've read that stupid bible several times from cover to cover, taught c.c.d. classes and was the most devout xian you can possibly be. And I tried to ignore the crap sh*t hypocracy that goes with it, but I couldn't defend a belief as bad as xianity any longer. READ your history books on what xianity is REALLY like. Don't be afraid because of what the "doctrine" tells you. Just read and find out for yourself. Xians SUCK!

Why don't you believe in zeus? the FSM? the invisible pink unicorn? the celestial teapot? the lord of the rings? the matrix? star wars?
the only reason you're a christian is that you've been brainwashed, probably since birth.
