I did have a huge crush on a boy when I was 15 and he was 18. It lasted a whole year before he went away to go to university.
This was perhaps the most romantic phase - but aren't we all at this age ? -. We never exchanged a word but kept watching each other everyday all the time. We both knew that we had a huge crush on each other but were both too shy to do more than that..

It took me about a year to forget about him. But you do forget eventually especially when meeting other people.

Sometimes I wonder, rarely though, what has become of him.

I can relate but I think the best way to forget and move on is to actually mix with other people and not retreat onto oneself, lost in memories.

Teens have a hard time.....if only parents remembered what it was like !

wow...well, you move on by having crushes on other guys. i mean you may think that the boy from high school is still cute but there shouldn't be any more feelings there. if you were gonna be with him then you would've a long time ago. just put in your mind that it is not gonna happen and he's a terrible person who you want nothing to do with. do you still keep in touch with him or see him??? if so then make your move. at least you'll know you tried rather then going on thinking what if!!!!

Hey....
I live in a really small town and had a crush on a guy from high school for a long time. I would see him around and still get butterflies in my stomach when I saw him.
Then one day....in my EARLY 30's I saw him and thought....
'gee, what did I see in him?'.
You too...will have 'that' moment.

From grade 7 to grade 12 I liked the comparable guy yet he have been given including my chum in grade 10, so I compelled myself to go on. Now I have not any thoughts whatsoever for him, yet I even have met a a lot, a lot handsomer boy in college who truly cares approximately me.

Did you ever try asking him out? If not, do so now-8 years is enough waiting.
If he says no, you have to move on. Instead of thinking about him constantly, try doing new things(sports, volunteering,go clubbing) to meet new guys. The gym always works(:

You only resolve it by dating other people or pursuing him to see where it will go.
