I would say so. Of course, we all know how spectacularly Peter failed the "test." Sometimes, like Peter, we fail spectacularly. So spectacularly, in fact, that the experience of said failure effectively kills our spirit, our dreams, our hope of redemption. We lose our calling and we go back to our old ways.In Peter’s case, he went back to fishing.
The great news is if Peter could fail so utterly and still be lifted to be used by God, maybe we all not such a hopeless case after all. Sometimes, God call you out gently by name when He knows you’re in serious trouble and you need an extra helping of love and grace to see you through to the light at the end of the tunnel.
