Sit there and watch me and others use the bathroom and everything? I dont think they are and if they are I'm going to do something about it,cause thats wrong! Really wrong! If anyone knows anything 1005 please let me know cause I'am going to try and sue them! Thank You Amanda

i'm with u. i really do think it's illegal to hve 1 n a restroom.i'd contact a lawyer bfor saying anything at the clinic. they could remove it b4 u know it,. then it would b your word against theirs. after all, who would blieve a drug addict. thats what they would say. even if your husbandsaw it, 2. maybe take some pictures of it from different angles. that would be some proof. good luck. hope if u do sue, u get lotsa money. ps.........don;t 4get me!

I suspect that, because it's a methadone clinic, they're within their rights. They want to make sure the urine samples are "authentic". If the camera is in plain view there is nothing covert about it. It's the same thing as companies being able to tape a phone conversation as long as they inform you the call is being recorded. They probably don't tell you about the camera because they assume it will be obvious once you get into the bathroom.

I once had to do a drug screen for a employment physical, and the clinician actually came to the bathroom with me! She didn't come in, but she DID stand outside the door, with the door opened a crack...personally, I'd rather have the camera. BIG BROTHER IS UPON US!

That is absolutely ridiculous. Have you signed any paperwork there before with them? Just check to see if they have mentioned about that in any of their disclaimers. If they have not, then I would suggest that you ask them innocently as to why there is a camera in there, before you approach a lawyer and go about it in big way.
I am telling you this because, they normally have a good legal team which guides them. If you hire an attorney and cannot prove them wrong, then you will have to shell out the attorney fee from your pocket.
Be very cautious. Good luck

If you have to pee in a cup for a drug test then they may be in there legal rights to make sure you are really going and not using someone elses. Regardless I would find out what your laws are in your state

WOW, oh my goodness, that is very wrong. I have never been to a bathroom that has a camera. That's just sick. I strongly recommend you to do something about that.
