i have no conversation skills unless its about basketball, or video games. i want to be able to get a girlfriend in the future, and i don't know how to have a real conversation.

Try watching the news and reading the 'Star' magazines while waiting at the grocery store checkout....then you'll have some other things to talk about!

The best conversation to have is to just be yourself. Don't be someone who you are not. Be yourself. Start the conversation with, "How you doing" ask questions like, "where are you from", just use politeness and be kind. Just stay calm and you will be fine.
There are some self help books you can search on line too. Just be yourself and be polite! (smile)

If the girl were me I would be happy with sports..but not all of us are like that! So, ask her questions about her schooling, what her major is and why she chose that (if you guys are in college), talk to her about things you like to do (other than video games, maybe you like working on cars or traveling) and ask her what she likes to do. Your pets and how crazy they might be, movies you saw together and your favorite actors, your pet-peeves, what her hobbies are, does she hike, swim, draw...etc. Anything that comes to mind. Be relaxed and let it flow...if it doesn't flow than she's probablly not the girl for you. Good luck!

You just need to find a person who likes the same things as you. Once you do that (the hard part), conversation should be easy.

just talk about the girl lol nah really just let the girl talk u should be able to give ur thoughts about what she says. find out what the girl likes and read up on it or ask her things about it.
