If you are going to tend bar in a specific area, don't spend too much time learning the 100 all-time favorite drinks. The list may be overall, and nothing at all applicable to where you will be working. Knowing how to make a Martini may mean nothing to a customer base that is always asking for Mai Tai and Screaming Orgasms.
See if you can talk to some local bartenders and ask them what is the most popular in that bar. Or hang out at the bar for a while and listen to what people are ordering. It will also give you a chance to watch the bartender as he/she makes it.

The most common ones are:
screw driver: OJ and vodka
sloe screw: sloe gin and OJ
Brandy Old Fashion: brandy, bitters, sour (if its sweet crush a cherry in the bottom w/a packet of sugar)
Basic Margarita: tequilla, sweet and sour, splash of roses lime
Martini: vodka straight up, if they want it dirty add olive juice, depending on how dry they want it you will use dry vermouth.
There will be a lot of people who just ask by name ie.... gin and coke, rum and diet and so on....
I have been a bartender for 2 yrs now, its a lot of fun and you can make some killer money. If you have any more questions let me know I used to work at a place where they made 14 different margaritas!! I know my shizit! LOL
HTH!!

hello. there is not any such component as a sugar free alcoholic drink, the reason being is that chemically, alcohol is a diverse type of sugar. So even ingesting spirits with a 'eating routine' mixer is somewhat a dropping conflict once you consider that with spirits all you're ingesting is sugar and water. merely have relaxing, awaken with a hangover and promise not in any respect to do it lower back. as well over right here contained in the U.ok. we've a declaring, "somewhat of what you fancy does you strong".
