Why is it so hard for most individuals to believe that, Jesus Christ is the son of God?

I THINK UNLESS YOU KNOW JESUS CHRIST AS YOUR LORD AND SAVIOR, ITS HARD TO BELIEVE ANYTHING. I KNOW THAT JEHOVAHS WITNESSES DON'T BELIEVE IN THE TRINITY. THEY MOCK JESUS BY SAYING THAT HE WAS PRAYING TO HIMSELF. SOMEONE ACTUALLY SAID THAT TO ME! IF PEOPLE WOULD READ THE BIBLE, THE KING JAMES VERSION, THEY WOULD KNOW AND BELIEVE THAT JESUS CHRIST IS THE SON OF GOD.

‘But isn’t Jesus called a god in the Bible?’ someone may ask. This is true. Yet Satan is also called a god. (2 Corinthians 4:4) At John 1:1, which refers to Jesus as “the Word,” some Bible translations say: “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” But notice, verse 2 says that the Word was “in the beginning with God.” And while men have seen Jesus, verse 18 says that “no man hath seen God at any time.” (Authorized or King James Version) So we find that some translations of verse 1 give the correct idea of the original language when they read: “The Word was with God, and the Word was divine,” or was “a god,” that is, the Word was a powerful godlike one. (An American Translation) Clearly, Jesus is not Almighty God. In fact, Jesus spoke of his Father as “my God” and as “the only true God.”

Did Jesus ever say that he was God? No, he never did. Rather, in the Bible he is called “God’s Son.” And he said: “The Father is greater than I am.” Also, Jesus explained that there were some things that neither he nor the angels knew but that only God knew. (Mark 13:32) Further, on one occasion Jesus prayed to God, saying: “Let, not my will, but yours take place.” (Luke 22:42) If Jesus were the Almighty God, he would not have prayed to himself, would he? In fact, following Jesus’ death, the Scripture says: “This Jesus God resurrected.” (Acts 2:32) Thus the Almighty God and Jesus are clearly two separate persons. Even after his death and resurrection and ascension to heaven, Jesus was still not equal to his Father.

As for the “Holy Spirit,” the so-called third Person of the Trinity, this is not a person but God’s active force. John the Baptizer said that Jesus would baptize with holy spirit, even as John had been baptizing with water. Hence, in the same way that water is not a person, holy spirit is not a person. (Matthew 3:11) What John foretold was fulfilled when, following the death and resurrection of Jesus, holy spirit was poured out on his followers gathered in Jerusalem. The Bible says: “They all became filled with holy spirit.” (Acts 2:4) Were they “filled” with a person? No, but they were filled with God’s active force. Thus the facts make clear that the Trinity is not a Bible teaching. Actually, long before Jesus walked the earth gods were worshiped in groups of three, or trinities, in places such as ancient Egypt and Babylon.

I believe that Jesus is the Christ and Son of the Living God. I guess it's hard for others to believe something that their mind has trouble wrapping around.

Actually - we all are. As Jesus pointed out from the Psalm, all are the sons/daughters of God. The Gospels go to great length to emphasize the title Jesus used for himself was Son of Man. It is that title that landed Him in the soup. Mark's whole Gospel is built around the framework of "WHO IS THIS GUY." and the answer is shown as the Son of Man.

Because I have no evidence to that "fact" other than Jesus (alledgedly) claimed to be (ever notice that not one book in the bible was ever written by Jesus? old or new testament??)... I have no cite to even tell me that GOD claimed Jesus was the SON not even in the bible old or new testiment ( besides I'm a Pagan... ) and yer own Bible warns.. Beware of False phrophets.. so I'm skeptical.. but hey I believe in ALL GODS its less likely to get me in trouble with any of them (no i didnt say i worship em all.. just believe in em all) a man can make yer life miserable .. but a life time here is just a dent in time.. even a minor GOD can frack you up for ever over and over again..

I have no claim to the tribes of Isreal at all heritage wise.. not my GOD people...

Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. They are all one in the same. But to answer your question. Jesus is the Son of God.

Because the belief that Jesus (peace be upon him) is the son of God is something that Jesus (pbuh) himself did not teach. His message was to worship one God. People have changed the religion over time.

As a mercy to mankind, God sent us one last prophet, Muhammad (pbuh) to guide us to the straight path. The Qur'an has never been changed (unlike the bible).

I wish you all the best in your search for the truth!

you are correct jesus is the son of the father [god]
who isnt ,we are all the children of the father as his favoured son revealed , life is given of the fathers love and grace to all life to live

jesus revealed the highest worth of all sons of the father ,he shewed man the highest man can become will yet do greater than gods greatest son.
the son is not the father ,for we shall put no god [or son of god] before our god ,eternal and immortal ,needing no heir ,having no equal ,and giving all creation grace ,love ,the light that sustains life is well revealed and to be raised up that the light of the son reveal ,the love/life the fathers light sustain to live ,sustain and feed the highest of mans being [perfect as the christ] as well as the most low of man and beast alike.
god bless our christ and saviour who revealed the light and love and life and grace of the /our father.

Why is it so hard for you to accept that some people don't believe that? I believe in Jesus, but I respect those that don't and understand that what something might be true for me is not for another person.

Why is it so hard for you to believe the...
... the Flying Spaghetti monster?
... the Invisible Pink Unicorn?
... Buddhism?

... Lord of the Rings?
... The Matrix?
... Star Wars?

Why not believe all books, movies, and comics? After all, there's no evidence there either.
