It would be hard to tell how many puppies she may have without having her x-rayed. It usually doesn'y cost all that much at the vet's office. You really should have it done so you know how big the pups are and if the vet thinks that there may be a problem with the whelping. You can also discuss spaying her at that time. *Oh, did I just say that!*

How many pups a dog will have can vary from 1 to 20+ depending on the breed, the age of the dog, how fertile the dog is, etc. So, there is no way we can successully answer that question.

However, when the dog is about 40 days into its pregnancy, you can take it to the vet and have an x-ray or sonagram done on the mom. The puppies' skeletons will be calcified enough by that time for them to show up on the scan, and the vet can "count heads" to see how many pups your dog is carrying. (Really experienced vets can also tell just by feeling the mama's belly.)

No comment will be made from me about spaying, but guessing a number of puppies is a difficult task without putting my hands on the dog. Considering she would be a medium sized dog, but we dont know the father it could be any number of puppies. German Shepherds and Beagles are known for larger litters. So my guess 4 to 9 puppies. Hope you have homes lined up.

Last time I saw German Shepard puppies, there was 5 in one litter and 14 in the other. So it all depends on the dog.

Expect talents judgement from neighbors and acquaintances, dirty appears, and scared strangers. Even be definite its legal anywhere you existence. Be ready to need to put ALOT of labor into obedience and plenty of endeavor. Huskies themselves are very vigorous and robust willed creatures. Wolf hybrids are very independent, robust willed, and definetly no longer for an inexperienced dog proprietor. You'll be able to ought to be definite to be % chief and establish this very early. Show and dedicate your self to wolf psychology earlier than hand and don't take owning this canine evenly. If feasible discover a coach that would be inclined to work with you long run to get down necessities whilst the dog remains to be younger. I've owned German Shepherds all my lifestyles, and my Uncle owned a German Shepherd / bushes Wolf 50% hybrid once I was once in my younger teenagers. He lived in North Carolina and had acres of land to keep the dog exercised and still he used to be very full of life. They are lovely gorgeous creatures, however i don't endorse anybody owning one until you run a refuge or something. The fact of it is although that in case you are already getting one, I wont lecture you on it as a bad selection. Simply please be liable and be sure to search official aid if you happen to fail to take on the mission in order that the dog doesn't suffer. Determine out the internet for lots of sites on Wolf dog Hybrid ownership. There's plenty with ideas. Hope this helps, excellent success.

Everydog and breed is different, take her to the vet between 50 - 55 days and have x-rays done, it's fairly cheap and it will tell you how many puppies to expect and if they will fit through the birth canal.. Good luck..

You should expect the number of pups your vet saw on xray when you had her last prenatal check up, because being the responsible breeder you are you already did that.
