I was wondering the best ways to build up our credit ..we would like to get in a house by ourselves in a couple years

Assuming that you're "shooting straight" with everyone on the site, did they file actual bankruptcy OR reformation? If it were reformation, they could conceivably get out in two years if they "play their cards" right. Talk to a credit counselor at a credit counseling agency near you. Look in the Yellow Pages of your ph. book under "Credit". Go to "Credit & Debt Couseling Services" to find a location nearest you who can help you. Go the extra mile please and contact the Better Business Bureau before you deal with the place you select--not all businesses are reputable and I'd hate to see you "get burned" because of total innocence and just trying to get help.
