I don't know....

But I would walk 500 miles
And I would walk 500 more
Just to be the man who walked 1000 miles
To fall down at your door

When I'm working yes I know I'm gonna be
I'm gonna be the man who's working hard for you
And when the money comes in for the work I'll do
I'll pass almost every penny on to you

When I come home yeah I know I'm gonna be
I'm gonna be the man who comes back home to you
And if I grow old well I know I'm gonna be
I'm gonna be the man who's growing old with you

If you figure 4 miles an hour (a faster paced walk) that would take 2.5 hours. At 3 miles per hour (a more normal walk) that would be 3 hours and 20 mins.

It depends. Will this be on a flat surface like a path? Up hill? How often to you walk now, are you very fit? Most people can walk at a normal pace and do a 20-25 minute mile. Up hill will slow you down obviously and so will an uneven surface like rocks or even sand. You also should factor in if you are carrying a backpack, weight will slow you down. I recently did a mostly uphill, 8 mile hike with a friend and it took us 3.25 hours, we both hike alot! and it was steep. Hope that helps you.

Most people walk at an average speed of 3 miles per hour, so I'd guess at 3 hours 20 minutes

2 1/2hours is a pretty good time. That's 4 mph and would put you in the middle of the pack for the RI Blessing of the Fleet 10 mile walk.
