First of all I am so sorry that you are going through so much. I am also sorry that the minister has a problem with people who are not white. God does love you- never doubt that. My family has gone through so much too- my husband is disabled, and a diabetic, I have a chronic pain disease, we have family problems that never get better. Sometimes it can be easy to question God, even David did that, but every psalm you read that starts up with depression ends with David praising God and it was not because his situations have changed. Know that I will pray for you and your family.
When you read scripture, pray that He reveals Himself to you through each verse and chapter. He does that continually for me. God gives us silence at times too. Just continue to trust. You need to find a nurturing body of believers to be apart of. Do not judge all pastors by the one that you experienced. I almost did that once, and quit going to church- that is not good for your soul. I know , I have been there, If you would like to email me, please feel free too.

My goodness, you are having a bad time right now. I am very sorry to hear about your dad, I know how hard it is to lose a father in that way. I had the same thing happen, it took me a long time to get over that. And with an autistic child and sick husband I can see why you feel bad. I have been through many hard times too, and all I can tell you is it is better to stay close to Jesus in the hard times than to drift away. If your pastor doesn't like you only because of your colour that is wrong. Try to find a Church where you are loved and can make friendship.I am a white lady and in the Church I attend there was a black lady who I enjoyed so much. We had so many laughs together. I loved her and miss her since she moved away. Find a friend like I had. God Bless you and I'll pray for you and your beloved family.

As a Christian I didnt think I would ever agree with laptop but those are some kind and thoughtful words. While it is natural to assume that God does not like you because of your great trial, it is not correct. I cannot tell you why He spares some these troubles but others get so horribly afflicted. I know that many Christians feel the need to try and give simple explanations for these kind of difficult questions, but I dont think there are any. Yes, the book of Job can be very comforting and would be well worth the small investment in time that it takes to read. May He bless you.

Quite possibly true from a (LITERAL)biblical perspective.. GOD dosent like the majority of people.. only a small number and a very select few get into "heaven" (the number is very small indeed.. have you read YOUR BOOK? or have you taken preacher joes take on it for gospel... It sez what it sez..( I have read it BTW.. multiple versions.. cover to cover, and i'm not even a Xtian nor do I care to be)
Then again there is the potential you are being tested.. your bible (what 62 englis versions & counting?) all note "TESTS" and some far worse than yours (book of Job fer instance)
Hell I dont like most people.. I figure "your" GOD likes even 'em less than I do... I dont care you are an Xtian really (thats between you and yer GOD) but if you claim to be to me.. you better live up to yer claims.. all the time every time... you think a GOD would require less than I do? I think NOT

God allows suffering so that we may learn to walk more closely with him... Keep reading your Bible, & find a new Church, try a Bible church or non-denominational Christian chruch. Start a prayer group, & have faith that all of this, that is happening is under Gods control & he has a plan for you and those around you. Try getting & reading other books about those that have suffered & stayed true to the Lord. Even in your Bible the book of Job is about a man who suffered more than his share & why God allowed it. Stay faithful, God loves you and will use you for better! My many prayers are with you!

sorry to hear of your problems, but are you serving the lord, or you saved, just reading the Bible does not make you saved neither does going to church, and why is it always God that gets blamed for everything that goes wrong in a person life,
the devil came you seek whom he may devour, that's in the Bible, and he can cause things to happen and then whisper it's God's fault in your ear,
If you've been saved then you know what you need to be doing, ask for forgiveness and start serving God daily, if you are not saved then you are serving the devil whether you know it or know, you can't serve 2 masters....and as far as the minister goes he will have to answer for being a stumbling block to your salvation
God Bless you and I pray your troubles end soon

I am sad to hear all your bad news. I am also sorry you doubt God. Sadly I feel you have lost some of your faith through all this. Please remember other people too go through tests as equally hard as yours. In the past year 2005, my father in law was shot while mowing his own lawn for reasons unknown..he died 9 days later from the wounds. The shooter was caught but trial date has been set for the end of this month Jan. 2007. A cousin female Marine was in Iraq ran over a mine and was killed. A Uncle in Terre Haute died sometime after surgery. I had a ankle fusion in July 2006, my sister is due for surgery for a H. Hernia in Feb. It is difficult however we must put our true faith in God. Perhaps all these things are tests. It is the way you manage the sadness, the difficulty and placing all the burdens over to God to handle. You must truly turn them over to him for it to make a difference in your life. Pray for peace and guidance and it will be given. Never turn away from the one God who can do the most for you, me and the world.

Email me if you want to chat. I am going to show you God's love online: I care about you and what you are going through and no he doesn't hate you. Within the past three year of my life, I would have never imagined the things I have seen with just serving him. Do read Job and the story of Moses!!! They are awesome testimonies of what he will bring you through. Stay strong, because I have been in some of situations similar. Keep going to chruch and praising him. Maybe you need a new chruch to go to but find one you feel comfortable with. God will bless you but it will be in his time. Meawhile I am praying for you.

Pick your poison - an uncaring pseudo-compassionate God who is leaving you alone to suffer, or a Godless, uncaring Universe in which suffering and good fortune are distributed with almost unbelievable inconsistency, but no true malice or capriciousness.
If I were you I would choose the latter, and concentrate on marshaling your inner resources and strengths, rather than lashing out at Gods and Fates.

God only gives a person as much as they can handle. Always remember that. My baby died and I felt the same way. I left the church for a while but it was faith that brought me back.
