True Christianity is Not A Religion!

It is a Relationship with GOD, through the Finished Work of Christ Jesus! God seals us with His Holy Spirit when we Truly Believe [John 7:38-39]

Thanks, RR

My religion is perfect for me. That is not to say that is the one and only perfect religion, just that it's perfect for me.

I don't need to follow a perfect religion but if I am to have a religion I need one that I can believe in - all of it, totally, not just selected parts.

Yes, for me it is the perfect religion.

What I like best about being an Ásatrúar? That we are polytheistic. That is, we believe in a number of deities, including Goddesses as well as Gods. That we do not accept the idea of "original sin", the notion that we are tainted from birth and intrinsically bad, as does Christianity. Thus, we do not need "saving".

Because it gives me a fulfillment in life that no other religion ever could do. Being connected to the Gods who are as close to you as bloodkin, following a Lore that teaches you to be strong and independent, honoring your ancestors and the heroes of before, that is Asatru for me.

It gives me strength in daily life, it gives me hope that there are actually Gods that care, and that stand with you if times are hard.
Asatru is the only religion that doesn't clash with the modern day scientific view on the world, it views the world as it is, a natural place, with many Gods.

I like being Asatru because it rewards people who are academically-inclined. Really and pervasively, not just in theory.

I like being Asatru because its ethos match mine. I can be a reasonably good example of an Asatruer; I would never be anything but a marginal, footnoted, troublemaking member of any other religion. I like hanging around with people who think that an oath is an oath, for example.

I like being Asatru because it validates my inclination to bonk irritating people on the head with a Big (Rhetorical) Hammer. I am blunt; in Asatru, blunt is a good thing. "Frith" and "cooperation" are much more resonant values for me than "niceness" or "harmony".

I like Asatru because it is not a One Way kind of religion. I can disagree strongly with other Asatruers about all sorts of things and we can still be in the same religion together just fine. And I don't have to worry about sorting out all the people outside of Asatru, either.

And I like Asatru because it describes the world (mundane and spiritual) as I experience it. And I get to talk to other people who see it the same way I do. Constant simultaneous translation can be quite draining.

The perfect religion would have but one rule....be nice. All important "rules" fall into one of two categories...nice or not nice. This would eliminate the stupid rules that a country founded by people of one religion imposes on others just because of their religious rules...ie gay marriage (no problem, noone gets hurt), abortion (not nice to kill the little babies), etc.

There is no such thing as a perfect religion, because we humans, all of us are imperfect. But there is a True Religion that God uses on Earth, in these last days.

This is how you tell True from False.

What is false religion?

Why does religion seem to be at the root of so many problems?
The fault lies, not with all religion, but with “false” religion.

False Religion...MEDDLES IN WAR AND POLITICS: How many religions can you think of whose members engage in war?

False Religion...SPREADS FALSE DOCTRINE: Most religions teach that the soul or spirit is some invisible part of a human that survives the death of the physical body. However, the Bible teaches a different doctrine. “The soul that is sinning, it itself will die.” Ezekiel 18:4 Jesus taught that the dead will be resurrected, an unnecessary action if humans had an immortal soul. Does your religion teach that the soul does not die?

False Religion...TOLERATES IMMORAL SEX: Church groups ordain gay and lesbian members of the clergy. What, though, does the Bible teach? It plainly states: “Do YOU not know that unrighteous persons will not inherit God’s kingdom? Do not be misled. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men kept for unnatural purposes, nor men who lie with men.” 1 Cor. 6:9,10 Do you know of religions that condone immoral sex?

How to identify true religion.

True Religion...PRACTICES LOVE: True worshippers are “no part of the world,” are not divided by race or culture, and display “love among themselves.” Rather than killing one another, they are willing to die for one another.

True Religion...TRUSTS GOD'S WORD: Instead of teaching “tradition” and “commands of men as doctrines,” true religion bases its doctrine on God's Word, the Bible

True Religion...STRENGTHENS FAMILIES AND UPHOLDS HIGH MORAL STANDARDS: True religion trains husbands to “love their wives as their own bodies,” helps wives to develop “deep respect for their husbands,” and teaches children to “be obedient to their parents.”

True Religion is available, search for it.

The perfect religion is the one that is able to help you realize the truth, and thus transcend the need for religion.

i personaly dont believe in organized religon.I was born and raised a catolic but the church is corrupt. i dont believe one group of people just have it write . i think the perfect religon is what you believe yourself and are happy with whether thats recarnation going to heaven or achiving enlightment but by all means if you believe in what the church, mosque, synigoge claims to be true then you should follow that or just go to respect god..
