Well, you have to include the fact that the hour hand moves as well when the minute hand moves. Therefore, at around 1:01, they are together again. Considering this, they will be together at around 2:11, 3:16, 4:22, 5:27, 6:32 and 30 seconds, 7:38, 8:43, 9:43, and 10:44, By the time it reaches the 11th hour, the only time when they will coincide is until midnight. So if we count them....
10!

Dan M is correct, it's 10. They don't cross at noon or midnight, and it's NOT 11 because they don't actually cross at any time between 11 pm and midnight.

They cross at 1:05, 2:10, 3:15, 4:20, 5:25, 6:30, 7:35, 8:40, 9:45, 10:50, and 11:55.
That's 11 times, right? :o

It would be twelve times. Every hour is another chance for the hands of the clock to be at the same place. 12 noon, 1:05, 2:10 ect...

The answer is 10 times .... 11:55 doesn't count because the hour hand has deviated toward 12 already and is not exactly coincident.
