i am 13 and have had head lice twice before and whenever i think its gone its not. my mom thinks im paranoid but i can tell when the itching is normal or not. i get very easily embarrased and don't want 2 tell anyone except my parents. i've used mayo, dandriff shampoo, veggi oil, garlic powder, and chemical from the pharmacy. and after a few weeks it starts itching again, but i don't actually SEE the lice, i just see what i think are the lice eggs-which are small and white in the shape of a teardrop. and it doesn't itch all over just in a few places such as in the top right side or down my part.it feels like a little vibration, and dosn't stop. and also my whole head itches really bad after a wear a helment or sweat. I have sprayed the couches and my mattress and washed my sheets and clothes. is it lice or not??? HELP!!! thanx

No son that sounds more like sensitive scalp but it could be.Do your hair again in the medicine from Wall-greens or wall mart but don't get the cheap stuff, get RID and buy the RID kit.You know that has the spray and the nit removing gel.Do your hair really good and comb it out really good according to the directions on the gel tube.then, now this part is very important, have your parents go to the natural food, herbs and vitamins section of the store and get you some TEA TREE OIL,it comes in a little bottle;you mix the whole bottle in your regular daily shampoo bottle.every time you buy a new bottle of shampoo buy a new bottle of tea tree oil and use it every day.It acts as a head lice repellent;they hate the stuff. It smells kind of weird but your lice problem will be thing of the past.Good luck son and keep your head up and try not be embarrassed.

Make sure you wash all of your hats, your pillow or anything that comes into contact with your head. Buy a new brush, vaccumm the bed, these are all things you should do after a treatment for lice. Buy a spray they sell them ask your mom to ask the pharmacist and spray your helmets as well. Always better to be safe than sorry. One other thing next time you go through this make sure it's lice the chemicals is the lice shampoo is dangerours and shouldn't be overused. Ask your family doc or go to a health unit yourself and have a nurse check for nits and lice, sometimes after being infected with them once you can start thinking you have them even when you don't and can feel itchy because of that, so have it checked professionally, it's anonymous at a health clinic. And lice can happen to anyone you could be getting reinfected because your freinds have it and they don't know it so watch for anyone scratching their head continually and quietly tell them you heard a rumour that lice is going around and leave it at that. But the spray you can buy is great for furniture, beds etc. But still use the proper shampoo. I'ts an awful thing to deal with, but a fact of life.

Hello there I am going to try and help you. This is what I suggest you do. First Go to your local pharmacy and get RID Complete Lice Elimination Kit. Very easy to use but you will need to have someone do this for you. Then you must make sure that all furniture is sprayed in the household including the automobile which your parents drive. After you do this you should be rid of all. You must remember one thing you must get all the nits out of your hair. This is why you need someone to do this for you. Don't worry about being shy this happens to alot of kids. My own Neice got this from a sleepover. Having this does not mean that you are dirty or don't take care of your self. You could be the cleanest person and still get these from someone else.

sounds like u do. u can buy those little combs to check without buying the head lice kit. I would buy a black on so u can see better. also u need to throw your pillow in the dryer as well as any stuffed animals they will hibernate in them. if u cant throw the stuffed animals into the dryer u can place them in a plastic bag and set them out side for a week that will kill them. don't share hats or helmets with any one and keep your hair up at school. Also was your clother in hot water as well as your coats. Make sure all carpeting is sprayed good too

Try a good conditioner or hot oil treatment at home. It could be dry scalp from all the stuff you've used to get rid of the lice. If this doesn't stop the itching, I'd suggest seeing a doctor for a prescription medicine.

head itches after sweating anyway so that's normal
it sounds like paranoia to me
a good conditioner is good on hair yo could have dry skin on the head.
the only way you will know if you have head lice is a head lice comb through your hair. there are ways of preventing head lice like wearing hair up, a herbal spray that you can buy from shops or a good douse of hair spray!
