I'm really not interested in finding someone new. I just had a weak moment and did something I regret. If I tell my gf she will definitely dump me. Do I keep it from her?

It is a really difficult question...I did the same thing to my girlfriend after 1 year or more..i never told her because it would break her heart and because I would lose her..
We broke up for other reasons 1.5 year after that.She never found out.It was really difficult for me to keep such a dark secret inside me...In my case I can tell you that it haunted me till the last moment...Of course we had many good times since then...It doesn't mean that there is no real relationship after that...but there is a dark lie to cast its shadow.
There is no easy answer to this question.You did what you did and now you will do what you will do and you will have to live with the consequences of your actions.That is life and at the end of the day we all are human and we all have week moments and we all make mistakes..

Your girlfriend of 4 years cheated on you once because she was feeling weak. Would you want her to tell you or keep it from you? And would you forgive her? Why do people do things like this and then regret it? Why don't they just stay faithful?
If I were you I'd tell her because she doesn't deserve a cheater like you. I'm sorry, but you asked for it and probably deserve it too! Good luck! =)

I think you should tell her before she finds out on her own that will hurt much more than if you tell her yourself. You never know someone may have seen you or she could tell by the way you are acting. Just sit her down and tell her you guys need to have a talk. I am not saying she will not be hurt but it will be better if you are honest with her. Trust me she will be pissed off and she may decide to forgive you but it will take a long time for you to earn her trust back. You have to be prepared for these things it is a part of life and relationships. But my advice is to be honest!!

Well buddy I hate to tell you this, but trust me you'll be telling her really soon because if you have to log onto yahoo answers to ask us if you should keep it from her or not, then there's something in your conscience bothering you. Just keep this in mind:
#1 You don't love her. Don't argue with this because really, you don't.
#2 If she dumps you ... Why would you care?
#3 Please do her the favor and tell her. Trust me this is one of the hugest favors you could do for someone. She will realize that the person she has been with for 4 years is not worth it and is a total mistake. If you stay with her you'll just be wasting her time. Time that she could have put into something else, something worth it, and worth while. Do her the favor, you owe it to her.

If it honestly was a weak moment and something you will never do again... Don't tell her. You will only be doing it to get rid of your own guilt and will not do her any good. If it is something you think you might have a problem with and might cheat again in the future, you don't need to be in a relationship and need to be honest with your girlfriend and your self.

No. You have to be completely open and honest. If you don't then this will definately come back to haunt you further down the road. She might hate you for a while, but if you show her that you love her and will do anything to get her back, then she will eventually come back to you. And if you can't be bothered telling the truth, or trying to get her back once you have, then she deserves much better than you

Its not a defiant that she will dump you,but its likely...the smart thing would be to keep it to yourself,providing there is no other way she will find out,but if theres a possibility she will hear it from somewhere else,tell her,its better that she hears it from you!Good Luck and keep it in your pants!

When did you cheat? I think you need to tell her if it was a while ago but if it was recent, keep it for a while. If you think she has a possibility of finding out... then you need to tell. There is nothing worse then someone else telling her. Good luck!
