White isn't a gender specific color so I think it is perfectly fine. Why are you worried about your son being in a masculine crib? Not trying to be judgemental here but please don't push your son to be "tough" and masculine, especially as a baby. Maybe I misread your intention behind your question and if I did I apologize.
Congrats! I am having a boy in the spring and I can't wait.

A white crib will be fine. My one year old son has a white frame bed and it looks good. White goes good for both sexes. Just make his room colorful.

I think that if the only worry you have at this point is whether or not a white crib will emasculate your newborn son then you need to rethink the situation and realize that you are about to have bigger and better things to worry about :)

I'm sure your baby boy will be man enough to deal with a white crib.

actually white is usually what parents get if they dont know if they are having a boy or a girl. but that is totally fine for your son. as long as the crib isnt pink, purple, yellow....(you know girl colors)

It's fine. Go with very masculine decor in the room. It should provide a striking contrast.

I think white looks really sharp for either a boy or a girl. It would look great with bold primary colors.

We got a white one for our son. Mainly because we didn't know if we were having a boy or a girl. And, because my husband had built white shelving. Plus, it matched really well with the nursery theme :))
