Yes i know the soldeir romance. What about men and women? How I see it is if someone kills their homosexual partner and they will go crazy they'll want revenge and start killing the enemy. That would be good!

The best reasoning I've heard is as follows: under no circumstances does a military unit want two soldiers to be in a romantic relationship. It undermines the fighting ability of the unit. Generally a military unit is not co-ed, but if there are homosexuals in a single-sex unit, keeping it single-sex has not alleviated the problem of potential relations between soldiers. So, nt homosexuals.

All this is premised on the idea that, first, soldiers of compatible sexual orientation in the same fighting unit are prone to sexual relations, which I think is possible but seriously questionable and is generall unsupported by any real-world studies, and second, that sexual relations between comrades actually is likely to undermine the fighting ability of the unit in any significant way, at least as compared to the added fighting ability of an increase in the force's size by 11% (only 90% of the general population being straight).

Mearly being a homosexual does not restrict you from being in the military. However, if you admit to being gay you will be discharged. Homosexuality is against the laws of the military or the UCMJ. The military has a dont ask, dont tell policy. I have served with gays and I personally do not feel they detract from the good order and disclipline of the forces, however that dosent matter. The law is the law.

At this moment there is no draft and nobody has to "go to war" unless you join one of the armed services. As far as gay people go, they are welcome to "go to war" if they don't mention the fact that they are gay. Ever hear of "don't ask don't tell " ? Basically a Homosexual can fight and die for this country and defend it's freedoms as long as they keep quiet about there sexual orientation..... now that's freedom.....Ahhhhhhhhh

They do have to go to war. They are just expected to keep their mouths shut and their flies zipped up while serving in the Armed Forces.

Are you involved at all in current events? You might think about listening to the news or reading the newspaper once in a while before posting such a stupid question and embarrasing yourself

Have you been inhaling your hairspray again?

U.S. military has a "don't ask, don't tell policy." Ergo, anyone in the armed forces who makes it a point to disclose his/her sexual orientation will be, more than likely, asked to leave.
