I wanna buy a Secret deoderant, but i'm not sure if it causes any cancer or illness. If so, is there any other safe deoderants?

Why would deoderant cause cancer? Does it emit ultra violet rays?

I see one of the top oncologists in the USA, and he says no, the deoderant issue is an urban legend.

However, Tom's makes a great natural deoderant.

This is one of those persistent medical myths.

A lot of breast cancers occur in the lymph nodes in your armpits, and there was a kind of hokey theory put forth that it may be due to antiperspirants blocking the sweat glands and trapping toxins in near the lymph nodes.

But it has since been totally disproven. There is absolutely no connection between antiperspirants or deodorants and cancer. The only danger is that sensitive skin may be irritated by some of the ingredients in commercial deodorants, in which case there are natural mineral salt formulations available in health stores.

If it doesn't irritate your skin, there's no cause for concern.

u should be careful, there are many lymph nodes in the arm pitt area and actually that is where a huge amount of breast cancers start. So u should be careful what u put under your arms. I highly doubt a widley used name brand deodorent causes cancer. I would be afraid of the ones you have never heard of before!!

No they don't cause cancer, although some people do get a rash in their armpits from antiperspirants because they are allergic to one of the ingredients

there is not any medical evidence to help that declare. you should well known that the aluminum is honestly the anti perperant, no longer the deodorant. it would want to dam your pores and reason infections like zits (an same way make up can on your face), that's probable the position the declare originated.

Not deodorants, but anti-perspirants! It's the aluminum oxide ingredient in them that prevents perspiration! And it's not cancer that it causes, but rather it is thought that it may cause dementia in all its forms.
