You can telephone the Kennel Club to see if she has actually registered the litter. If she hasn't and you have it in writing, go to your local Trading Standards Dept. who should be able to help. You could also try contacting the local or national breed club. If she is a member, they may be able to put pressure on her.

Breeder A sounds like an excellent breeder, I for personal reason will not take puppies unless I can get them at 8 weeks. If I want an older pup, I will usually go thru breed rescue or adopt from a shelter. I would never ever think of B with the term Breeder, but as a Puppy Miller and a very cruel person. So would not financially support them.

Sounds a bit dodgy love. Have you his pedigree certificate at least. You should have been given that, to prove he is a pedigree if you paid top dollar for him. If not, report her (they might say it was your fault for buying a pup without a pedigree certificate) unless you're loaded and want to go to court - but even then, what do you want? a new puppy? Probably not. But at least you can stop others from being ripped off. Trading standards will look into it for you, but they take their time, and their probably isn't much they can do for you. Maybe give her a month or so more, to be on the safe side. Perhaps she is sorting it and they are taking their time. But any decent breeder would have sorted out their papers before selling the pups. Did you get a reciept to proove how much you paid, at least?

AKC DOES take forein registrations(or at least some forein registrations) but the paperwork is truly time consuming and I know it was over 6 months for the paperwork for my sisters German sired dog to wind its way through the mill...
You could enquire with AKC (we are talking AKC right?) it may help may not.
She may have stoped answering the mail because she cant do any more than she is. Id suggest every week or so send a funny *puppy did this^ kind of story, this keeps you & pup in the forefront of her mind ........

the biggest problem here-other than getting promised something
WHICH kennel club? AKC doesn't usually accept dogs from other countries. There are OTHER kennel clubs that do, but they take in ANY dog...
but I agree, its going to go legal, and it really shouldn't matter: theres already a pet overpopulation, get it spayed/neutered. If you were getting it for showing, now you know better.

The breeder should already had relevant papers from the kc for that litter, usual practice for ant reputable breeder, something not quite right ,(shady to say the least) hope you get it resolved soon, pedigree dog is nothing without it's credentials.

Which "Kennel Club" is this? What breed? Contact the Kennel Club and the Breed organization and find out if the litter was registered. Or report her.

Not much unless you can afford a lawyer, and large legal bills. You should never walk out with a puppy without its papers.
