400 - 450 degrees. Poke it six to ten times with a fork. Wrap it in foil, shiny side facing inwards. Bake for 25 - 30 minutes or until done.
This all depends on the size of the potatoes and the type of oven you have. Also, bake in the center of the oven and keep the potatoes separated at least an inch or two apart.

Wrap in foil and bake at the highest temp. Like 500 or so. Check with a toothpick after a half hour or so. You can also cook them in the microwave. Poke them a few times then press the baked potato button if your microwave has one. It knows how long to cook. Check it then turn them once. Poke them again to see if they are tender.

scrub potato
pierce with fork three or four times (very important step)
rub skin with olive oil
sprinkle it with kosher salt
do not wrap in foil (this way will let the skin crisp)
cook at 375 30 minutes to an hour (depending on potato size). Poke it with fork when it is not hard, it is done.
You can cook them much quicker in the microwave, but they do not taste the same. Texture is definitely different.

Poke them with a fork a couple times. Wrap them in foil. Bake them at 400 for about 30 minutes, unless they are very large, then 45 minutes.

Do you have a microwave? Wash your potatoes, place in microwave, put 1 cup of water in with the potatoes, set your timer for 12 minutes, you will have a great baked potatoe, just give it a try.If your potatoes are a little larger add a few more minutes.

prick holes in the potato, a starchy potato, such a russet are best. 350 for about an hour or hour 10. don't forget the holes, you don't want to clean up exploded potato. no wrapping necessary, just scrub the potato well. skin comes out better this way.

wash with water.. do not peal... poke a couple of holes in the top (to allow steam to escape) and bake right on the rack at 350ºF for an hour. They can be microwaved as well - much shorter time, but somehow not quite the same!
