Yes to pray always.
To read His word.
To walk in His ways, are all exercises.
To practice what we preach is the hardest exercise of all.

Yes there are many varied exercises. The most obvious is prayer. You could also look at meditating or affirmations as a form of prayer. You could practice Yoga or Tai Chi - systems of physical exercises that strengthen your spiritual being too. Singing is a physical endeavor that awakens your spirit, as is dance and art. Being a searcher and seeker you could come across concepts that could open your chakras or your third eye and awaken your soul.

Jesus and the prophets had a passion for justice and mercy.
Disciplines can be formed in any area - the looks like linkage of discipline/disciple is real.
a) Write 1 letter a week to a politician, local, state, national, or world (usually writing to their US embassy is easiest) on behalf of the poor/sick etc.
b) Take one day of the week for the 5 major continents, list the nations and pray for them on their continent's date.
c) The Bible speaks of "watching out for your neighbor's straying donkey." = Supermarket carts afar in the parking lot, items fallen off the store shelf, etc.
d) 20 minutes a day will read you through the Bible in 1 y ear.
e) Memorize a psalm for each day of the week as you fall asleep.
f) Pray for every member of your family - including aunts/cousins
g) Tithe ALL income including interest etc.
h) The 4th commandment =honor parents is the basis of government. List all the servants who serve you so you can serve others - include garbage man/port authorities/librarians - as many as you can by name.
i) Send 1 p.card a week to a "lower level" employee - receptionist, bus driver, etc. to express appreciation.
j) Pray for every 3rd car you/they pass for a safe journey/effort
k) Recycle like a fiend.
l) Determine how many murders/acts of violence you will accept in a week and then end media entertainment.
m) Ditto w/ profanity
n) Intentionally forgive someone - perhaps from the past - w/o belaboring either the offense or your forgiveness.
Thank you for asking and God's speed on your efforts.

Yes, there are:
Reading the Word of God and meditate on it every day.
Praying every day.
Performing some charitable deeds.
Keeping the fast.
Guiding a neighbour to the law of God.
Contributing money to the community fund.
Attaining excellence in employment.
And the guidance from reading and praying will tell more.

Any exercise that has to do with working with energy such as meditation, yoga, etc. The body needs food in order to survive. The soul also needs food which is energy in order to stay whole and fresh. Meditation feeds the soul. If people here in Yahoo would meditate 2 hours each day, they will feel fresh and whole. They will not be claiming to be depressed, frustrated, angry, scared, etc.

There is a vast range of spiritual exercises and each for specific spiritual/psychic development.
I work with the light energy and the chakra system and find it the most beneficial to my life from a healing perspective. Expanding the rays of light through-out yourself expands the perception to allow greater levels of spiritual insight, enlightenment and a deeper richer spiritual connection.

Yes, it is called testing your faith. What that means to me is knowing what God has promised to us in the Bible, and standing on that.
