I am increasingly amazed and confounded by the number of health complaints that people will ask about on here that would send me straight to the doctor instead. Is it bad? Are you kidding?!? Yes, it's bad.

There are several types of parasites that humans can get that would leave worm-like organisms in your stool. These parasites can lead to various health problems. Some of these parasites will dig their way out of your intestines and make their way towards your respiratory system. Disgusted and alarmed enough by the idea of worms rooting around in your system to go to the doctor yet? You should be. Get a stool sample and go to the doctor so they can test it to find out what kind of parasite it is and determine the best way to rid you of it.

It can be any of several species of worms. Most of them you get from other people, when they don't wash their hands, and then you touch the same surfaces. Though there are one or to you can get from food as well.

Your doctor can give you a prescription for some pills, likely Metronidazole, that will get rid of them. It actually happens all the time.

It actually depends on which type of worm.

Tichus derma are regulary occuring worms in the intestines. If it is this type you have little to worry about.

If the worm is Tichus subtratachea (a long flat worm) then you should consult a doctor.

Go to your pharmacist and get some "piperazine". You can get it over the counter. The worm is probably pinworm. Make sure you keep your hands, fingernails clean, especially after going to the bathroom. If you itch, it is mostly pinworms.
