lovely dogs never hurt a fly really they pretty much just sit there and clean my 2 chiwawas ears oh and my cat and jackrussle 2weeks ago one of my females had puppys and the day after my chiwawas and cat were in the bed with all the puppys and mom aww it was ssooo sweet she just lyed there and cleaned the cat and chiwawas just like her pups
you people who honestly think that these dogs are killers havnt owned one they are just like anyother dog just stronger... my whole life 23 years iv always had a pitbull and my family keeps growing at my house now i have 8 pit bulls including the pups but hey i couldnt live without my babys

I have to agree with you! I own one right now and i don't think that i'd ever get another breed! He's great with my kids and all my other animals (2cats and 1 scarlet macaw)! It's the owners that teach these dogs how to be violent but nobody ever sees that and that's what gives these dogs such a bad reputation! If you haven't already you should check out the save the pit bull web site www.savepitbulls.8m.com! SAVE THE BREED....NOT THE DEED!

I like all breeds ok. It seems that people just don't realize all dogs are big fat mellow labs. Breeds have different training and handling needs than others. Many breeds are not as forgiving as others and need a strong firm hand to train them. Then some ignorant person buys a puppy because it's cool to own this breed or whatever reason, doesn't train it properly (or at all) and this puppy grows into a large intimidating dog with behavior issues. This is what upsets me. People buy pits because of all the controversy they've been getting and really never learn how to handle this large powerful breed of dog. It isn't a labrador and probably isn't a good choice for most people. I think they are fascinating but would never own one because I'm not sure I'll ever be able to "control" a dog with that much will power and energy. I'll stick to labradors. I have met some wonderful pits and pit crosses though, so don't get me wrong, I'm not saying they are bad at all. They just are more work than many people realize. As humans, we naturally judge by appearance and if we have or hear of a bad encounter with something we learn to fear that image (in this case pits). We do this to preserve ourselves from future danger by this "threat". Similar reason why many people hate/fear snakes and spiders. They've been bitten or heard of someone getting bitten and die. So they fear and avoid the threat. I've handled plenty of snakes and a few spiders that are harmless but some people still just freak out. So the few people who have raised problem pits and it spreads over the media ruin the breed for many people. Sure we can try to educate them that pits aren't all bad, but for many it just goes back to natural instincts of fear and self preservation. Too bad :(

I have a 5 year old male pit named Max...he is the best. I know what you mean. I just love pit puppies. My Max is laying on the sofa watching me type. He is the best dog I have ever owned. My son has a rescued pit and he is so grateful to have a good home. You can just tell by the way he is.

l never own a pit bull and l guess they are cute as most dogs are. but they are still tag as a aggressive breed dogs. l jut hope that you can have that many dogs because usually l think you need a kennel license if you have a lot of them plus some places even demand breeders license. l do believe you love your dogs. so what is the question or am l missing it.so if you are asking us if they are the love of your life, well l guess they are.

I love Pits, I own one and he is the sweetest dog. I agree until people have owned one and has raised it right they would change their minds about them.

ok i agree with you i also love dogs all kinds of dogs i to have had pits the last one i had i got as a pup and it was well lets say scared when it was around people well as it grew it was treated with lots of love he was my best friend i love him still so much he was around all my kids my family and others but always acted funny and to tell you the truth i think he bit just about everyone in my family but me one time he had me realy scared but i over looked it ..mind you he was my best friend.well one day thie 12 year old boy that was not to be in the house came in with my son in the upstairs window i was in my room and the boy ended up in the kitchen behind sampson the boy was acting like he was humping sampson and sampson turned arouned and bit his whole cheek off....well to make along story short i was so up set and beg the cops to let me keep the dog at my home for a 10 day quarentine time so they let him stay on the 8th day mind you i had signs on my door telling any ony who came in my dog will bite.well my girlfriend came in any how , sampson was locked in the bed room someone was out side lighting off fire crackers and it set sampson off well he got out of the room and bit my friends lip off.well they took him and he had to be put down my best friend i stood up and fought for him ,untill one day i met up with another pit and now i am so afraid of them it is not funny i am not saying you should not have them and i still dont think it is the breed but their is somthing in them that makes them snap..good luck dogs make good friends

i totally believe you, anything that a any kind of dog does and its in a mean way, i think there behavior comes from the owners
