I think it is only the ones using their good books as though they are legal documentation. Things have really become confusing over the years of reiteration and reinterpretation. Never questioning the scribes and translators accuracy. All of whom were men too.
Pesonally I consider the church, synogogue and mosque today, to be something like a memorial to the idea of God and righteousness. And then we will never find a preacher, rabbi or imam using the Socratic Method leading to a compromise on similarities. Like Socrates they will talk themselves to death before they come to any conclusions.

There are those who are intolerant, those who are tolerant, and there are those who think they are tolerant, but are really intolerant. They won't tolerate intolerance (or percieved intolerance).
Is letting a 3 year old child play with a gun, tolerant, or just plain cruel?
What about warning people of the consequence of sin, or trying to help them avoid hell?
You don't have to be a christian to believe hell exists, or that any tiny sin is comletely disgusting, needing justice as much as murder or rape.

It depends on what you expect them to tolerate.
You do know that *too* much tolerance leads down a very perverted and destructive path of societal decay, don't you?
Take for example, Sweden, starting from around the 60's into the 70's and early 80's before they came to their senses.....
They were so permissive in their child porn, practically NO laws imposed on sexual perverts, that it became a haven for preditors and promoted the abduction and the rape, sometimes videotaped, of children being raped as young as 2 years old.
learn something about life.

It just seems that way because the most intolerant are always the most vocal. The minority always feels the need to speak the loudest.

Neither the o.t. nor the n.t. promotes tolerance. All religions are exclusive. Tolerance is an american ideal, not a christian virtue

Because they think christianity is just a nother hobby...and they do it as a hobby...what they dont know is that Ch. is life, not part of life. and thats why they fail.
