Of course it's fine especially for larger dogs since they have no problem breaking the cubes. My dog loves eating ice cubes too and the vets I've worked for never said anything was wrong with it since she's young. Older dogs may have more of a chance hurting their teeth due to weaker gums and possibly having more decay than a younger dog.

no it is not bad for their teeth, most of the time they are just playing around with it. of course if your dog has sensitive teeth she would not touch the ice cubes any way. it also is a nice way to help cool a dog down on a real hot day. some dogs over drink when they are hot and that is not good for them

my brandy (lab mix) and Srgt. Duece and a Half (bulldog) love ice cubes.
I find it a great way to clean their teeth actually, since they crunch on them and they're water it doesn't really harm their teeth. Plus really cheap dog treats ;] lol
Just becareful if their teeth are sensitive, if that's the case then only give it to them once and awhile not everyday. If any damage happens consault to your vet. for treatments. =]

My dog loves ice---but we always only give her thin pieces that shatter off the cubes in the trays. We don't give her whole cubes. It doesn't take much for her to crunch them.

Dogs eat bones. Bones are a lot harder than ice cubes. If the dog likes them and you don't mind, I don't see a problem.

It isn't likely to be bad for his teeth unless there is already an issue sensitivity, damage etc
Just becareful because you can shock his stomach quite a bit by giving a lot of frozen things. For instance I gave my boy his serving of vegatable frozen once and he was hiccuping for hours.
