the microwave is probably the quickest way, just put it on the lowest power when you do it so it doesn't start cooking because then it will go tough...time depends on each microwave but I would put it on for 5 mins on low and just keep checking it to see if it needs longer...good luck!

Try the defrost setting on your micro. If you don't want to try that, try setting out your meat when you are thinking about dinner, the night before. And if that still don't work for you, try defrosting it in cold water. For some reason it works better and your food will not taste like crap.

If it's chicken you can set it in a pan of warm water, but you will have to change it a few times. Chicken thaws fast. Beef or pork will have to go in the microwave, but it depends on how much you have. If it's a pound it should only take about 10-15 minutes. I would watch it though. My microwave is all timed.

When you are cleaning the kitchen , after dinner, take the food out for the next day and put in the lower part of your refrigerator. The food will thaw safely and the flavor will not be destroyed.
NEVER put food in a microwave. It makes the food tough and destroys the flavor. Once you get into the habit of doing this, it will be easy.

Actually...I put it in a large gallon sealed bag....put it in a large bowl of "cold" water, It actually thaws quicker in cold water....you can actually do this the night before and put it in the frig too...or of course, you can defrost it in the microwave...
