U can claim whatever u didnt claim last year this year. Tax deadline is in April, so u have a while before u do your taxes. Do u know when will they be getting their social security number?

Judy and Steven F are right. Just apply for an ITIN using a Form W7. It is probably better to turn in you application in person to the IRS because you need various pieces of documentation that you may not be comfortable sending in the mail.

You can't claim anyone that does not have a Taxpayer Identification Number' (TIN). For anyone that has a SSN, your SNN is your TIN. If your wife is not eligible for a SSN until she becomes a citizen (I don't know if she is), she can apply to the IRS for an ITIN (Individual Taxpayer Identification Number).

If they aren't eligible for social security numbers, apply for ITIN's. See http://www.irs.gov/individuals/article/0,,id=96287,00.html
