Yes. It can. It's available in liquid form in a lower concentration for children.

I'm not sure where you got your answer that Augmentin can't be used for peds. I'm 28 and from the time I was 3 until I was 20 I had ear infections constantly. Augmentin was the number one antibiotic that my pediatrician prescribed.

I can still recall how I took both the liquid (tasted nasty) and the pill as I got older. I couldn't take the liquid w/o having chocolate bits RIGHT after to get rid of the taste.

yes it can.. but you have to adjust the dosage according to the weight.. there is a therapeutic level for antibiotics so you better ask your doctor so he can compute for the right amount..
