i know two options,
that seem to work.
a.
1) fill a spray bottle with salt and water, kinda liek ocean water, without the organisms.
2)spray the mixture on your hair,
and scrunch your hair with your hands.
3)air dry, and you're done.
b.
a commonly used way of scrunching hair.
1)wash your hair.
2) towel dry hair, but don't comb.
3) spray some styling mousse on your palm (tigi beadhead works pretty good).
4)flip your hair, so it hangs upside down. then, thoroughly scrub the mouse onto you hair.
5) scrunch you hair with your hands.
6) flip your hair so you're not upside down anymore, and tease your hair a little more. then, you're done.
hope i helped!

I do hair. Some of the answers are good & work for some ppl but not for me. The day sea salt spray mattes my hair together. Here's how I scrunch my pin straight hair:
Wash
Towel dry, no excess water
Don't brush, run fingers through hair upside down
Work gel into ends
Spray whole head upside down & right side up with Pump it up! (In the African american products, I swear by it!)
Divide into sections twist into tight buns & clip or band
Once almost dry unpin respray and scrunch upside down in upward motions
This spray is like glue... Ur hands will be a bit sticky but it works & I can wear in up to 3 days it stays so good. Make sure u keep scrunching!!! It should be crispy feeling when dry. Good luck

Have you tried a curling shampoo and curling hair products? It softened my hair to the point I now have a slight wave in my hair and if I use scrunching products, it will look wavier and if I set it, it will hold the curl longer.
Ones to try: Loreal Vive for curly hair, Curl Friends, or Wash N Curl shampoo. Follow with a curling mousse and finish with Aussie Scrunch Spray.

After a shower, put quite a bit of gel in your hair (Not so much on the roots) and keep scrunching it until it is basically dry. Finish off with a couple sprits of hair spray.

if u wan to give your hair a little curl, you can try a curling iron, but you have to get a good one, some wnat work that great or you can get a perm, but if you get that you can't go back to straight very easily
