if you want Outlook to get e mails from yahoo! it is possible i have set it up
then follow this:
first open up Outlook, then click tools, e mail accounts. then select 'add a new e-mail account' then click 'next' then 'pop3', then 'next'. then tpye the following:
Name : your name
E mail address :you e mail address (Yahoo)
i ncoming mail server(POP3): pop.mail.yahoo.co.uk
outgoing mail server (SMTP): smtp.mail.yahoo.co.uk
Password : your Yahoo password. before you click 'next' select 'More settings...' and under the tab 'advanced' make sure the box is ticked next to'Leave a copy of the messages at the server' - other wise outlook will move all you e mails form yahoo to outlook!!!!!
then click 'next' and 'finnish'
then go to yahoo!
and then click 'options', 'Pop access and forwarding'
make sure the 'Web and POP access' is selected and you can either get all messages and spam or just message and not spam you decide then thats it done!!!
now try 'send and receive' on outlook
if it works then good. if not then you need to go to the 'advanced' tab- tools', e mail accounts, select yours, 'view or change...' then 'change' the 'more settings...' then 'advanced' tab and under 'outgoing server (smtp)': type 587. any problems go to the link in the 'source section'
this should help

If you want outlook to talk to yahoo - you have to pay for premier Yahoo account.

You then go to Yahoo Mail Options and it will tell you the mail server connections to input into Outlook.

Your ISP page will show you how to configure your POP3 and SMTP server settings.

Go to your ISP home page (don't know the URL) and perform a search for 'POP3 settings' and this should get you going.
