somebdy specializing in taxes, what kind of tax write offs can I suggest because I am going to college besides

Im pretty sure I can write off gas expenses, can somebody please help me with some others for when I got to H&R block to write off.

I work part time, 5.5 hours a week, 5 days a week making $8 an hour. no other income

I'm pretty sure you CAN'T write off gas espenses if you are just going to college!

In fact, even if you have a part-time job that you drive to everyday, you STILL CAN'T deduct gas or mileage.

If you tell us some details about your earnings (if any), we would be more able to answer your question.

Based on your additional info, unless you deliver pizzas in you rpart time job, then NO you probably have no deductions.

also if your parents can claim you on their taxes, you wont have much of anything to write off. also you would need several thousand dollars in write offs before it is worth itemizing versus taking the standard deduction.
