The babies head is out of the mothers womb and breathing on their own..
Should the doctor and or mother be allowed to have the say, whether the child should die?
Or does this child that now is alive and normal, have human rights, like all of us do..which is the right for life.. :)
Thank-you all in advance for your answers.. :)
With Love..In Christ.. :)

abortion at any time of the pregnancy is wrong- but partial birth abortions are THE WORST- birth is the word here we must look at. Just heard today that a senator voted against this, which is horrendous-
"If a baby survives this abortion then the dr needs to do everything to save the baby from dying." Senators are actually voting this down. I do not know about you but that is murder. It is murder, the moment a baby is conceived but there is life there, but when you actually see the child and it breathes you do not have to save it? Help us Lord. I cannot believe that He has been so merciful to us- maybe it is because He wants no one to perish but to come to the knowledge of the truth. That baby has human rights!!!!!!

In the situation you described, the child should live and should have rights.
The part about 'breathing on their own' is what got to me. Regardless of my position on the abortion issue, I fail to see the point of 'terminating the pregnancy' or 'killing the baby' once the situation has gone that far. It makes just as much sense to me as the women who ditch newborns in dumpsters. Just drop the child off at a hospital/police station. Why even bother to abort/kill at that point because you are already giving birth. It's better just to 'abandon' the child. Honestly, it's senseless and weird to go through the 'hassle' of an almost entire pregnancy just to end it all when the fetus/child doesn't even need the womb anymore to survive.

"Partial birth abortion" is absolutely a form of infanticide. Even many pro-abortion people agree.
Myself, I think that ALL abortions are murder. Babies are alive well before the time they are being born.
You mentiioned the word "normal," but it doesn't matter whether a baby is "normal," or has Down syndrome, or whatever.
Regardless, the baby is a human being from the moment of conception -- thus, it is wrong to deliberately take his/her life at any point during pregnancy.

YES! How could on live with themselves after doing such a thing! It makes me want to cry just thinking about it. I gave birth as well and I couldn't imagine doing that!
As far as it being in the womb I still call it murder. It may be living off of the mother, but it's still living.Parasites live off the host but we still consider them alive do we not! Whether the nerves have developed to where it can feel pain or whatever it is still murder! The thing has a heartbeat! That means it's alive. Just because it's not developed doesn't mean it's not.

The child, whether still in the mother's womb or out of the womb is a living human being. It should NOT be killed! Abortion is the same as murder and no one has the right to take away the life of an unborn child in any manner whatsoever. Taking the life of a baby, whether in or out of the womb (or even half way out of the womb) is murder, no matter which way you look at it.

The thought of partial birth abortions makes me physically ill. I cannot understand how anyone could do this. I am a Catholic. I was raised to believe that all abortions are morally wrong. But I differ with the church in that I believe in birth control which does not allow conception. I believe people use abortion as a form of birth control. I had a few friends that did this. There is no reason in this day and age why a mature, responsible woman allows herself to get pregnant. There are morning-after pills in the case of rape or incest. Now before everyone gets on their band wagon... I said mature woman not innocent girls who are victimized. Woman screamed for rights to control there own bodies in the 60's. Well, now we got it. We have no one to blame for our decisions. I know my thoughts on the subject are not very popular but fortunately for you I won't shove them down your throat.

Abortion is ABSOLUTELY wrong. ONLY God should have the say whether the child should be allowed to live or die. Yes- the child has human rights like all of us. Anyways, partial birth abortions are even sadder than in the womb, but no more or less wrong. ABORTIONS ARE WRONG NO MATTER WHAT KIND OF EXUSE ONE GIVES FOR IT!!!!!!Life is short, pray; HARD!

Despite what you have been told partial birth abortions are never preformed unless in order to save the life of the mother, If the fetus can survive outside of the womb then an abortion is always illegal. Banning partial birth abortions is nothing but a wedge issue used by the right to drum up votes in close elections.

Just so we are clear folks, you do realize there is no Medical procedure called a Partial Birth Abortion. Prove me wrong. Better yet show me a link to legitimate documentation when a living breathing child was removed from it's mother and then killed.
