I need to know how to find a missouri title number?

My son-in-law has a used car lot and he has been very ill with head and neck cancer and a lot of his paperwork was not completed, and in order for me to help catch his paperwork up I need title numbers to fill in forms for Missouri as they were not copied or lost with all the chaos going on, I have numerous notice of sales to fill out and I am unable to do this w/o the number on the title. Any help would be appreciated.

The title number is on the title certificate. You may have to match up the VINs on the sales paperwork and the title certificates to sort things out.
