Do the ISLAMICS share the Covenant of CIRCUMCISION with their People the way the JEWS share that Right of CIRCUMCISION as their Covenant with Jehovah?

Most Islamics that I know say that Abraham is the Father of their Nations, all the descendants of Ishmael. And yet they claim Allah as their god and Not Jehovah as the Jews do!

Do the Islamics share the CIRCUMCISION of Abraham? ? ?

Thanks, RR

First lets see the definition of Islaam and Muslim.

Islam means submitting to Allaah, worshipping Him alone and obeying Him, and shunning shirk (polytheism, associating others with Allaah) and those who believe in that. This is the religion which Allaah approves for His slaves. Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):

“Truly, the religion with Allaah is Islam”

[Aal- ‘Imraan 3:19]

“And whoever seeks a religion other than Islam, it will never be accepted of him, and in the Hereafter he will be one of the losers”

[Aal ‘Imraan 3:85]

The person who enters this religion is called a Muslim (one who submits), because he has submitted (aslama) to all the rulings that have come from Allaah and from the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him). Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):

“And who turns away from the religion of Ibraaheem (Abraham) (i.e. Islamic Monotheism) except him who befools himself? Truly, We chose him in this world and verily, in the Hereafter he will be among the righteous.

When his Lord said to him, ‘Submit (i.e. be a Muslim)!’ He said, ‘I have submitted myself (as a Muslim) to the Lord of the ‘Aalameen (mankind, jinn and all that exists).’” [al-Baqarah 2:130-131]

“Yes, but whoever submits his face (himself) to Allaah (i.e. follows Allaah’s religion of Islamic Monotheism) and he is a Muhsin ( a doer of good who does good deeds solely for the sake of Allaah) then his reward is with his Lord (Allaah), on such shall be no fear, nor shall they grieve”

[al-Baqarah 2:112].

All the Prophets, such as Adam, Noah, Abraham, Isaac, Ishmael, Jacob, Moses, Jesus, David, Solomon etc, they all came down with the same message, which was that There is no one worthy of worship except God, and I am a Messenger. They Submitted themselves to God, all the Prophets, submitted themselves. Which makes them a Muslim. So it was Islaam. Judaism and Christianity are on the same line as Islaam. Somethings which are permissible for the Jews are not allowed for Muslims, such as Gold, and vice versa with Christianity as well.

Circumcision is one of the characteristics of the fitrah (the natural state of man), and it is one of the symbols of the Muslims, because it is narrated in al-Saheehayn that Abu Hurayrah (may Allaah be pleased with him) said: “The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: ‘The (characteristics of) the fitrah are five: circumcision, shaving the pubic hair, trimming the moustache, cutting the fingernails and plucking the armpit hairs.’” So he (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) started with circumcision and said that it is one of the characteristics of the fitrah.

Circumcision as prescribed by Islam involves cutting the foreskin covering the glans of the penis only. Those who flay the skin surrounding the penis or flay the entire penis, as is done in some savage countries, and claim in their ignorance that this is the circumcision prescribed in Islam, this is nothing but something prescribed by the Shaytaan and made attractive to the ignorant, and it is a torment to the one who is circumcised. It goes against the Sunnah of Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) and the Islamic sharee’ah which is based on ease and which enjoins preservation of life.

It is haraam for a number of reasons, including the following:

1- The Sunnah mentions cutting off the foreskin covering the glans of the penis only.

2- This is torture and mutilation, and the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) forbade mutilation and torture of dumb beasts, committing outrages upon them or cutting off their limbs. It is more appropriate that tormenting the sons of Adam should be more forbidden, and a more serious sin.

3- This is contrary to the humanity and kindness encouraged by the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) when he said, “Allaah has decreed humanity in all things.”

4- This may lead to disease or death of the one who is circumcised, and that is not permissible because Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):

“and do not throw yourselves into destruction”

[al-Baqarah 2:195]

“And do not kill yourselves (nor kill one another)”

[al-Nisa’ 4:29]

Hence the scholars stated that it is not obligatory to circumcise an adult if there is the fear of any of these things happening to him.

With regard to bringing men and women together on a certain day to attend the circumcision and parade the child uncovered in front of them, this is haraam, because it involves uncovering the ‘awrah which Islam dictates should be covered, and forbade us to uncover it.

Similarly, mixing between men and women on this occasion is not permitted, because of the fitnah (temptation) involved and because it goes against the pure sharee’ah.

there grow to be NO call for God till God informed Moses that his call grow to be i'm and likewise informed Moses that he grow to be the God of Abraham, Issac and Jacob as grow to be already reported ABBA is Father in Hebrew as a effect whilst they praied to God they used the term ABBA. shall we no longer forget that there are maximum of diverse names that diverse religions use for God. Yawee, i'm, God, Jehova, Allah, and various of different others, however the foremost's they're each and all of the comparable GOD. then you definately get into the a number of religions right that's the place the subject is and the a number of disagreements come from adult males no longer God.

Jehovah and Allah are the same its just using different language words. Jehovah being hebrew and Allah being arabic. They all refer to the All-Mighty, Oft-Forgiving, Most-Merciful Creator of the Universe.

Yes Muslims are circumcised, it is obligatory practice done at birth.

Peace Be With You
